Comments about Washburn WG16S Solid Cedar Top Acoustic Grand Auditorium Mahogany Guitar:
Washburn WG16S is a good quality acoustic guitar with a good sound (volume & tone) and pretty looks. I dont know how Washburn Co. keeps the prices of their guitars so low but, Im glad they do. Perhaps with having 128 years of experience, theyve got manufacturing guitars down to a science. This guitar is definitely worth its price. Its a very big bang for your money. I do wish it had a pick-guard and a neck strap-button. A little thinner neck-profile and a tad wider nut-width for easier fingerpicking wouldve been nicer but, in all honesty its not bad at all; it is actually better than most. For the first time Im actually impressed with the binding on a guitar; this one has nice wood binding. DO NOT expect a AAA grade solid top on a lower price acoustic like this one but even an A grade solid top is better than a laminated top, by far. All my other steel-string acoustics have a solid Spruce top, this is my first solid Cedar top and I just love the sound for fingerpicking and or even flatpicking. Im glad I purchased this beauty. We must keep the price in mind when we score a product. It would be unfair to compare a guitar with one that costs 10 times the price. In a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) here it goes: Craftsman ship 9.5 Fit and finish 9.5 Sound 9.5 Neck 9.5 Action 10 Tuners 9 (more than adequate)Cosmetic appt. 10
