Taylor

An affordable dreadnought with a solid spruce top, sapele laminate back and sides, and Taylor ES-T electronics.

Like the 200 Series, the 2012 110ce-L Sapele/Spruce Dreadnought Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar r incorporates laminate back and sides, which offer extra resilience to fluctuating climate conditions, and a slightly narrower 1 11/16-inch neck. It’s one of the best full-size guitars you’ll find for the money, especially with the availability of Taylor’s ES-T® pickup. It makes a viable performance tool, a great entry-level guitar, or a second utility guitar for alternate tunings.

Sapele Laminate
While the rich tones of solid wood remain unmatched, laminates can yield great sound in a beautiful, durable and affordable instrument. Such is the case with sapele laminate, in which we use interior and exterior veneers of sapele with a filler layer between them. One of the benefits of laminates for guitars is extra resilience in the face of fluctuating humidity conditions. This comes in handy for guitars like the GS Mini and Baby Taylor models, which are travel-friendly guitars that may be more directly exposed to different environments. All Taylor laminate models do feature a solid wood top to optimize the tonal response.

The potent tone flatpickers and strummers love.
The most traditional of guitar shapes, Bob Taylor has evolved the Taylor Dreadnought over time to honor its enduring sonic heritage yet also refine the look and sound into a more modern package. The Taylor Dreadnought still boasts that powerful dreadnought tone that old school pickers expect, with deep lows and crisp highs, but with a voice that, like every Taylor, is more evenly balanced across the entire tonal spectrum. Perhaps more than any other shape, the Dreadnought remains linked with roots music like bluegrass and folk, in part because of its traditional role in defining those sounds. Pickers and strummers with an aggressive attack will love our Dreadnought’s blend of power and articulation, which allows for clear lead lines and crisp, driving rhythms.

Taylor ES-T®
Devloped by the same Taylor team that invented the Expression System pickup, the Taylor ES-T™ Under-Saddle Transducer takes piezo technology to another level. Optimized for the 100 and 200 Series, the system features onboard Bass, Treble, and Volume controls plus custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response.
