Comments about Takamine G Series EG128SC Electric Classical Guitar:
I ordered this guitar for one of my students. When it arrived, it looked fine... but I noticed the machine gear tuners were a little stiff on the top side. I didn't think much of, applied a little oil and started tuning. As I tried to bring the string up to pitch, two of the tuners practically ceased to move (after about 20 revolutions). I took it to a local guitar shop, and they had terrible news for me... The headstock on this guitar had been hit against a hard surface, with enough force to warp the plate that the tuners are fastened to. So about $100 dollars in parts & labor, and the guitar now works. The price I paid on here wasn't that great to begin with, but now with the additional repair cost, it's a terrible value. Very disappointed!
