This Squier SE Special Strat Value Pack includes a Squier SE Special Stratocaster electric guitar and an SP-10 amp, plus an instrument cable, electronic tuner, instructional DVD, guitar stand, gig bag, and picks.
The Squier SE Special Strat Electric Guitar combines 3 single-coils and 5-way switching for great tonal range. It also has a solid agathis body with shell pickguard, 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position inlays, die-cast chrome tuners, and standard fulcrum tremolo bridge.
The Squier SP-10 amp controls include volume, treble, bass, and an overdrive on/off button that delivers tube-like tone. A headphone output allows silent practice. 10 watts drive a 6" speaker and the amp has a tough textured vinyl exterior.

Overall This isn't a terrible guitar, but it isn't great either. It was my very first guitar and for a while it worked perfectly for me but as a got better and better I started noticing a few things. First of all this thing goes out of tune super easily and if it takes you an incredibly long time to tune your guitar or maybe your tuner quits working (like mine) then it can be a hassle. The pick-ups are great if you are just starting out on guitar because when you are learning guitar, the most important part is that you have something that works and is easy to learn on, the pick-ups do not sound super great but they work just fine. The amp is kind of like the guitar, ok for a begginner but as you get better you'll grow to hate it. The overdrive sounds terrible but can be kind of fun if you're a kid who just wants to rock out, It is super fuzzy and kind of distorts the sound of the guitar. Clean, it is decent, not amazing but not terrible either. It is an ok sound that will work for a while. If i had more time to write this i could go into more detail but basically the whole package will be great for someone starting out on guitar but will not work for a more advanced player.

This is a very cool pack guitar for beginer but is important take in count that not left to much time playing a beginer guitar whe you are in time t start with a profesional gear so use it and if it's your path buy a profesional one like strats American Fender or at least a Mexican.

this guitar is pretty great 1. its a great unbeatable price 2. it comes with everything you will need 3. it comes in a variety of great colors 4. the amp is nice pretty decent 5. it has a whammy bar 6. the guitar had great sound and the tone is nice I LOVE IT ( ive been playing for around a year now im considered a beginner/advanced )

Let me start by saying that I have been playing guitar for about 35 years. I have had some nice Strats - always to have them stolen (go figure). I have wanted another one for a while and now my son wanted one to get started with, so I went for this Squier. I spent about 4 hours re-stringing it with EXL110's (stock strings are too light). which led to saddle height and tailpiece-spring tension adjustment, but in the end, the guitar plays very well and sounds good which is all that matters. For the price it smokes Gibson or Epiphone beginner packs. Couldn't be happier.

I bought this guitar about a year ago and i havent had a problem with it. some people say that the overdrive channel is fuzzy but my amp is great. i plan on buying a new pickguard (the pickguard is great i just had my fav band sign it so im framing it) and pickup covers (the pickup covers are great too they just dont go with the theme of my guitar) and new volume and tone knobs. everything is great on this guitar im just adding my own style to it...

the squire strat is very good looking and i recomend this package to any beginer who wants a decent guitar. the amp sucks though! the overdriven chanel gets fuzzy if you turn it up. the clean chanel is ok.

ive had the package for about a year now, and the guitar has held up excellently. the amp is a little less to be desired. the overdrive chanel is fuzzy if you turn it up. the clean isnt bad. the instructional dvd is a really good learning tool.

This was a gift for my son. He has been playing piano for 2 years and really wanted to play guitar as well. I suprised him with the Strat pack and the look on his face was amazing, his mouth literally dropped open! He has been playing every single day and is learning power chords from his dad! Making your son feel like a rockstar? Priceless.
