...the frets are too tall. My 5-year old is just learning so it's no big deal, and she loves her new red guitar. However, when I play it, chords sound bad because the height of the frets cause the strings to pull enough to knock the chord out of tune. It'll be a while before my daughter advances enough for this to be a problem for her, so for now, I'll just let her enjoy it and deal with the frets later.

Got one for my kids and I was very pleased with it's quality to price ratio. My first Fender was a 1966 Musicmaster given to me new when I was eight. Although quality was better back then (the mini strat has a plywood body), this guitar gives you incredible versatility that my single p/u musicmaster didn't. Didn't care much for the stock tuners (but I'm picky!) so I upgraded them. Heck, I even enjoy plaing this. BUY IT!!

Just started playing after a 40 year vacation! Great little guitar, I have several es335, Tele, Strat and an Ovation. I bought this guitar for my girl friend that has small hands and it works perfect for her. If you want a good guitar, well made buy this one. You can not beat it in quality or price. It was set up right at the factory and I did no adjustment. Again, buy This guitar if you need an extra, a smaller one or just one for fun! I would give it 10 stars if it could be rated that high on this review.

I own and play several "boutique" guitars. I purchased this for my young daughter because I didn't want to spend a ton of cash on a first time guitar for her. I was blow away at the quality craftsmanship, looks, playability and low price! This instrument is near perfect out of the box. Once I set the tuning, intonation and action, I couldn't keep her hands off it. It's perfect for small hands. I have peace of mind knowing she won't have to "wrestle" with it while learning to play.

The small size is perfect for my smaller hands, but the sound is more than I expected!. I do not regret this purchase at all. If you are younger/have smaller hands, or just want a good travel guitar, this is an excellent choice.
