Jagmaster; Get one before the price goes up!!!

By Sonny-_LJz7

from Louisville, Kentucky

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

I just got my new Jagmaster. I've been a Fender dude for 40 some odd years; and, I thought I would try out this axe over the Jassmaster because of the cheap price. All I can say is WOW!!! I set up the trem, slightly adjusted the pickup heights and set intonation. Now I have what I must say is one of the best guitars I have ever played; and, at a price that is simply unbelieveable. I think that Squier is going to make history with this one!!! Everything about this guitar is real. The simplicity of the 3-way switch with volume and tone and a sunburst finish that's out of thi world!!! The only change I plan to make on mine is a smoother finish on the maple neck. My other guitars will be on their wall hangers for a while; cause I plan on wearin this one out!!! I'm getting all the sounds I need with this guitar thru my Fender Deluxe or my old Fender Super Six Amps. My advice to anyone is; don't let this one slip away!!!!

One of the best

By BucksStudent

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

I'm one of these players who own some vintage, higher quality guitars who get guitars like these in confidence. Anyone who says Squier makes trash hasn't played one in years. These things are made well, feel solid, and sound great. The Jagmaster is basically a Jaguar with humbuckers, so of course Nirvana fans love them! They're great for other things, like blues, surf, jazz, metal, etc. The Duncan Design pickups are very well made, actually. They may last longer than actual Duncans. I am putting a Gibson P-94 in the bridge position, due to it sounding too much like my SG. That's right, you can get Gibson sounds!

I'd pay twice what I did for this guitar.

By Dylan Wolfe

from Clemson, SC

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

I wanted a guitar with the feel of a Strat and the muscle of a Les Paul. I wanted a guitar I could afford to buy now, with enough of a foundation to build on later. I wanted a guitar that had classic style without being just another knock off. There was only one guitar that met all of these criteria, the Jagmaster. I don't care if there is a Squire label on it, this is a new classic in the line of Jags, Jazzmasters, and Stangs. You can spend all the time you want weighing the specs and materials, for me, it was the sound of an open chord through a clean amp. The Jagmaster is full bodied with strong sustain. Adjusting the pickup heights allowed for incredible range in tone. While the Jazzmasters are more flexible, the price point and oddball controls turned me off. The Jagmaster maintains classic simplicity with room for upgrades. The electronics are the only manufacturer skimp on this guitar, but the easiest to alter. The only caution I would provide is that the Jagmaster doesn't fit in standard cases. I've got mine in a Bass case. Such is life.

The Jagmaster is a great guitar!

By Lance-PMYQQ

from Oklahoma City

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

Well I've always wanted a Surf Green '62 Fender Jaguar, my dream guitar I guess. And since that guitar will take some saving I went ahead and got the Jagmaster. Mainly because I like the design of the guitar and because I play alternative and this is an alternative guitar. It plays very well. But I take a star off because of the horrible pick-ups. Great guitar, reasonable price, great look and sound, I say get it!

Amazing Guitar, Great Price

By Matt-5AgC1

from Butler, PA

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. The two humbuckers put out some great sound. This is my third and favorite guitar to play. I definitely recommend purchasing this guitar. It's a great price and has some awesome sound. It has a great clean tone and can also can sound very grungy or punk. If your thinking about buying this and are wonder if its worth the price. The answer is yes!

Good Guitar

By Devin Currie

from Myrtle Beach, SC

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

The Jagmaster is good, but if you really are looking for the surf rock sound you might want to consider looking another way. In the middle pickup position you get that neat, "surfer" sound but it's nothing compared to the Jaguar. If you do get it and want it to sound like a Jaguar though do what I did and buy replacement pickups (vintage ones) and then put a coil-tap on them so you can make them single coil, thats the closest you will get to a Jaguar. Other than that it's a great guitar and I recommend it.

one of the best guitars I own.

By Patt

from ocala,fl

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

I bought the Jagmaster because I always wanted a Jazzmaster but could not afford one. The action on this is so low you can really play with lightning speed. It sounds very deep, not a lot of treble but not muddy. These Seymour Duncans are really powerful. You could use this as your main guitar or as a backup. The price is great. This guitar is a must have for anyone wanting the vintage fender look & feel without the high price tag.

Very good guitar for the money

By Herveyart

from Wilmington NC

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is the best you will find for the money. Duncan designed pick-ups are a step up. By far this is the nicest Squire I've played! I never thought I would own one, but this one is going with me to the gig! Highly recommend this axe as a first or twentieth guitar! Finish is so beautiful I might actually NOT paint this one!

Collect them all

By Roger Hausmann

from Tennessee

Comments about Squier Jagmaster Electric Guitar:

I just received my second Jazzmaster II, a black model with white pickguard, black humbuckers. Why own two? Because I fell in love with my first one, a sunburst/tortoise-shell model, the moment I plugged it in. The short scale neck, the reduced weight and the excellent workmanship make this axe fun to play and easy to own. The Jaster II has quite a different sound than my Strats or Teles: more midrange overall, even though the twang and low-end can be dialed in as well. I like the no-nonsense controls, and the humbuckers aren't great, but lovely in their own right. I'd say these Duncan designed buckers are ideal for Fender-players who want to transition to a humbucker sound. So far there are only sunburst and black models available -should there be more colors in the future, I want them too!
