Classic vibe with modern refinements.

The Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s is an electric guitar with a look to die for and plenty of '50s 'blackguard' Tele vibe. The Vintage Blonde or Butterscotch Blonde over pine body totally resonates and you'll be hard-pressed to tell whether or not you are holding a premium ash body guitar. Of course pine is not a foreign wood to guitar making or to Fender history for that matter. Early single and dual pickup Esquire guitars were made with pine bodies.

Featuring a 21-fret vintage tint gloss maple neck with the modern playability of a 9-1/2" radius and medium jumbo frets, and outfitted with a custom set of Alnico 5 single-coil pickups on the Butterscotch Blonde model and Alnico III on the Vintage Blonde, this Squier Tele has tone that can really hang with the big boys. You get clear note separation even in distorted modes and dynamic response with a strong midrange and high end bite for leads.

Classic Vibe
Back in 1982, the very first Squier by Fender guitars and basses came ringing out of Asia. Known for their excellent vintage-quality look, feel, sound, and construction, those early Squier instruments and their Fender-branded counterparts are now highly sought-after collector's items revered by guitar enthusiasts as models of "getting it right" while aiming at value-conscious players. The Squier Classic Vibe Series reflects that simultaneous commitment to excellence, value, and vibe. Mirroring classic Fender designs, the Classic Vibe offering is not intended to be era or vintage correct-but rather imparting the vibe of a classic Fender design. Each with distinctive feature set combinations-all adding up to one classic-looking instrument.

  • Resonant pine body just like the early Equires
  • 1-Piece maple, modern "C" shape neck with maple fingerboard
  • Custom Telecaster pickups
  • Chrome hardware including vintage-style tuning machines
  • Vintage-style Tele bridge plate w/brass barrel saddles

Great sound, vintage looks, unbeatable value. Order yours today.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s Electric Guitar:

Folks, when it comes to Telecasters there is no better, Fender or otherwise. So if you want to stay true to what a Genuine Telecaster was meant to be and what it is all about, look no further. Trust me, it is totally beautiful, both in looks and sound. Rock On...!

This is a great telecaster.

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s Electric Guitar:

The first one I ordered had a beautiful flamed maple neck, but the truss rod was broken, unfortunately. I sent it back, and the replacement I received was perfect, althought the neck is rather plain and not flamed like the first one. Oh well!

I love this guitar. It feels great and sounds great. The vintage split shaft tuners make it a breeze to change strings, and the tuners are rock solid. It really stays in tune well. The pickups sound awesome! I raised the neck pickup a bit to balance the output of the bridge pickup, and changed the strings from .9s to .10s (and tweaked the truss rod a bit), but it was setup perfectly out of the box. Even with the three saddle vintage-style bridge, intonation is spot-on.

This isn't just a great guitar for the price, it's a great guitar. Go search for demos on youtube. I love it. (I swapped the black pickguard for a white one, BTW, but I think it looks great stock, too.)

The best tele for your dollar!

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s Electric Guitar:

I recieved this as a tax refund gift to myself. I have never owned a Tele before. I'm now a convert! These guitars guitars kill anything put out by fender until you reach twice this price or more!

-The Neck Quartersawn, 9.5 Radius and Medium Jumbo Frets and a Synthentic Bone Nut.There is a vintage tint gloss, but its not super sticky. The neck is modern C, not too thick or thin. Even the Vintage style tuners are solid units that hold tune.

-The Body is Pine like the initial prototype fender esquire. This has a Poly finish that under the right lights shows off pine grain. Mine is heavier and I've heard that some can be hefty. But the tone is unreal. The pickups are OEM tonerider TRT2 pickups. vintage warm neck tones and hot spank from the bridge. No reason to change them truely and all my other guitars have gotten Seymour Duncans. The bridge has brass saddles and when played with you can get good intonation. Which suprised me and has kept me away from vintage style 3 barrel bridges.

You honestly will love this guitar!

Great Pro Quality Instrument at an Even Greater Price!

By Jon Hanson

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s Electric Guitar:

Don't let the hype, the price, or the Squier name fool you. This is not a beginner's instrument. The Squier Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster is an amazingly high quality guitar at a price that will make you feel like you just stole something. Right out of the box this solid pine axe is fit, finished, setup, and intonated to almost Custom Shop perfection. The tight grained vintage tinted maple neck is finished beautifully with nice round corners and smooth fret ends. And the AlNiCo III pickups deliver classic Tele twang so sweet that I even trashed my plans for upgrading them. I smile every time I plug it into any of my amps. The biggest complaint I have about these guitars is that the weight can be a little inconsistent. So if you are sensitive to heavier (>7.5 lbs) guitars you may want to try a few. Overall Fender/Squier hit a homerun with the Classic Vibe Telecaster. This guitar would be a great deal at twice the price. Grab one before they figure that out!

This guitar lives up to it's reputation!

By Michael Capobianco

from Glen Cove Ney York

Comments about Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster '50s Electric Guitar:

You've no doubt heard lots of talk about the quality of the Squier Classic Vibe series guitars... Well, this CV 50's Telecaster proved it to be no hype! Playability was incredible out of the box, some minor tweaks and allowing it to adjust to the weather and it's now perfect. The guitar, well packed and with wrapped strings, was almost in tune when it arrived, but the package was still sealed! Intonation was about as spot on as you can get with the three saddle non compensated saddle system. The fret finish is immaculate! The control plate is perfectly square with the Bridge, everything lines up perfectly including the string through ferruls. Matt Kalka was a great salesperson to deal with! I couldn't be happier!
