I purchased this guitar to add to my collection. I was disappointed to find rust spots on 5 of the frets and a sort of pre-rust haze on the remaining frets. The lower strings have a buzz on them while the higher string have rust/crude on them. The guitar is NOT setup and ready to play out of the box like my Fender Stratocaster but I sort of expected it based on the previous reviews. I will have to take the guitar to a professional and let him set it up for me or if he finds more problems I will handle it at that point.

Except for the items I previously mentioned, fit and finish appear to be good and solid. The black and chrome looks great. It feels good in the hands. It plays and sounds good for a Squier.This guitar does not come with a case as some of you may or may not know.

I probably just got the one bad guitar out of the batch but it is enough of a concern to me that this is my first and last Squier. For folks that need to invest additional time and money into having a professional set up your guitar and the need to purchase a guitar case, the MIM Strat may be an option to consider, unless your positively stuck on the black and chrome as I was. My bottom line is that I do agree with the statement: "It is a good guitar for the money".

i have layed many guitars over the years. I find that the Squire series of guitars are a Bang For The Buck! The necks on the guitars are fast and sturdy. I like the Strat. models because i do a lot of fast runs when i play and the strat styling allows me to cover the fret board effortlessly. I would recommend getting the strats with the Seymour Duncan pickups.

This guitar is worth your money, I've had it for 6 months now and its still in one piece and sounds great. Even though single-coiled, the sound is beautiful. With distortion, the tone still comes through clear and heavy. Don't mess too much with the tremolo, because the guitar tends to detune, especially with the factory strings. Use the Ernie Ball Slinky strings, they sound a lot better on this strat. The neck isn't too fat or too wide and the body is very shiny. I'd recommend to keep it polished, because you can easily see fingerprints and dust. Its an eye catcher on stage!

I got this guitar for Christmas and haven't put it down since. I use to play acoustic but after playing this guitar acoustic is just a thing of the past. Comments.... well buy this guitar, it rocks!

I love the look, it looks much better than the picture I must say. It's a great guitar for the price and is one of my favorites (and I've played a few guitars). I got it for Christmas and haven't put it down since.

This guitar is the best guitar I have ,and I have 7. It just sounds so good and has an easy playable nack for fast playing. If U want good sound ..or just a really good guitar, then this is the best thing U can buy for ur money.
