I bought one of these just because I never had a Tele and never thought I would like one. That is, until I played it. Now this inexpensive guitar has become my favorite. I have 5 guitars and all cost more than this one from Stratocasters to my Epiphone G400. This is a great sounding guitar for light rock, blues, or country. The only thing it lacks is that super distortion crunch that only comes from a humbucker. That's okay though, for that style I pick up my G400.

I bought this guitar about 3 months ago just to mess around with. It actually has a good sound compared to other Squiers. It is a good guitar to start with, but if you are experienced, you'll want a better guitar. So if you are looking for a good Tele...better check out the Fenders. But, if you are just getting started, it's not a bad buy.

New Affinity SeriesTelecaster, Two thumbs up !!

By Victor Poulin

from Undisclosed

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Ok well to tell the truth I wasn't expecting a hole lot when I ordered this guitar, but I figured for the price I'd give it a shot. I've delt with Music 123 many times on some expensive items and have never been disappointed. Also the shipping is fast and free, and that is a big added plus for me.
Apon opening my new tele, I was stunned at the over all quality of this guitar for the money spent.
The action is great right out of the box, and the intonation was almost spot on. I was really shocked.
The stock pups sound good, but depending on your style and sound your looking for, you can always swap out the pups later on. I'm pretty happy with mine as is. So in a nut shell, all you need to do is give this baby a quick tune up and start playing!! Even though this guitar is made overseas, don't let that fool you. Fender has out done themselves on this one !! If your like me and can't afford the real deal, this is as close to it as you can get, and all this for under $200.00 ?? I'm already planing on buying my next one. Two thumbs up to you Fender !!!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I like this guitar a lot. The sound is great and I like how the neck is but that all depends on the amp as well. This is great for all of the up coming musicians.

Great guitar for price!!!!!

By Frankie-SKs3-

from Nitro, WV

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is the closest thing to a Fender standard Tele, it has the sound and the feel of a Fender. At half the price. I've had mine for about a year and half, and I am very pleased with it. If you want a fender Tele but don't have the money, buy this guitar!!!!!

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I'm a bassist that just wanted a guitar to fool around with, and let me tell you I got SO MUCH MORE than I bargained for. This thing sounds the same if not better than my friends MIM Tele. Just awesome.

Outstanding!

By Circio

from White Marsh, MD

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

Read the other reviews! These guitars are great. A maple neck and maple fingerboard really help produce the twang. Pretty much everything has been said in the other reviews. I got the metallic blue and replaced the pickguard with a white Pearloid - looks real sharp. I notice when I replaced the pickguard that the body is routed only for the bridge and neck pickup. No "swimming pool" on these which is a good thing contributing for better sustain and tone. The strings are top loaded thru the bridge which is good also. Not necessary for strings thru the body on a Tele. We want good tones and twang!!

GREAT BUDGET TELE

By TIMMY T BUCKET

from PITTSBURGH PA

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I PURCHASED THIS GUITAR A FEW WEEKS AGO. I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY THE QUALITY OF THE SUPPOSEDLY "LOW-BUCK" SQUIRE BRAND OF GUITARS. IT PLAYS WELL, LOOKS GREAT, AND STAYS IN TUNE. I WILL NOT NEED TO CHANGE ANYTHING TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OR APPEARANCE. MY FRIEND, A LES PAUL FREAK, PLAYED IT THE OTHER DAY AND I ALMOST HAD TO TAKE IT FROM HIS HANDS! A FANTASTIC VALUE IN AN ENTRY-LEVEL GUITAR. BUY IT NOW BEFORE FENDER RAISES THE PRICE!

A classic telecaster

By Lyle

from Poughkeepsie, NY USA

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

I've been playing guitar for nearly 40 years and couldn't believe the quality of my Squire telecaster when I first picked it up. This guitar is on par with any new or vintage-style guitar being made today. It's 'Crafted in China' tag alone will surely turn off any self-respecting guitar snob. I tested it along with a Fender USA made re-issue and they came out dead even in playability, sound and quality. Despite the fact that the Squire tele has a top-loading bridge rather than the original 'string through the body' design, it had the same resonance and sustain as the much higher-priced model. After all, those great Les Pauls are all 'top-loaders', aren't they? Let the so called 'guitar experts' squabble among themselves while the real players play well-crafted instruments such as this one. This guitar is a beauty and I'll treasure it as much as any great guitar should be treasured.

Good deal

By Tom-BI0Pf

from Atlantic city

Comments about Squier Affinity Series Telecaster Electric Guitar:

It's cheap. It sounds good. It's flashy. I have got red one. My friends laugh at it. My family not. I plug it into 100 watt amp. To sum up, the more I play the more I like it.
