The Ultracure Robert Smith Signature Model Electric Guitar is a well-made, well-equipped guitar with a unique look that might be called "sophisticated Goth." Designed by the professionals at Schecter with input from The Cure's famous singer/songwriter, it features a mahogany body, 25-1/2"-scale set neck, pearl moon and star inlays on a rosewood fingerboard, Grover tuners, Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers, TonePros TOM bridge system, and chrome hardware. i am just getting back into playing guitar after a 10 year hiatus, and i bought this along with an epiphone custom SG because i'd always wanted an SG. i didn't know much about Schechter, but i love the Cure and i loved the look of this guitar so i thought i'd give it a try. well, I doubt i'll be playing the SG much. this Ultracure is like a work of art (not to mention more solid that the SG i got in almost every sense). yeah it's heavy but that's one of its plusses. it's a huge piece of amazing guitar workmanship, and it's extremely unique when you see it in person. the sound is fantastic, it looks cool, it feels cool, and if you're a cure fan that's just icing on the cake. this is the best money i've spent in ages. it's understated and bold at the same time, it's hard to explain but i think schechter struck gold with this guitar and i would not be surprised if it becomes a collector's item.

I've owned mine now for about 3 weeks, played the daylights out of it just to see if it could be the ultimate guitar I was looking for... one that can be mellow in soft reverent worship music and then also go to the more exciting heights that modern p &w has gone to these days... I write a lot of contempt music and play in a group that is currently recording our 1st album and also playing as a travel group. I needed a guitar that will hold intonation, have great tone, give me controllable balance and also looked hot when we played live... the ultracure is, so far, the ultraguitar for my needs ... don't know anything about Robert Smith or the cure but I absolutely love his guitar choice! thanks rjd

I just received my UltraCure about 1/2 hour ago. This has to be one of the sweetest sounding, feeling, looking, balancing guitars I have ever touched. The action is amazing and the pick-ups, really, can you go wrong?? It's just like heaven...yes a cheesey reference, I know.
