Amazing value

By William Delaune

from Undisclosed

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

This is a fine, basic instrument. The action was adjusted beautifully out of the box, the intonation is consistent and excellent all down the neck and even the factory supplied strings (D'Addario) were of acceptable quality. A couple of careful tunings and it had settled in and was holding pitch right out of the box. The construction is first rate and the finish is flawless. The sound is that of a quiet 12-string but the quality of that sound is very good. The instrument is very heavy but that makes it feel a little more substantial. I've had it a few weeks now and my appreciation for this instrument has only grown. The price is rediculously low. If you want a 12-string and don't want to break the bank, it is impossible for me to think that you could get a better deal.

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I am so surpirised how this baby plays. For the price I was thought I was going to get an (OK) guitar. I freaking love it. I have been playing for 23 years and have never played a Rogue. I am so glad I made this purchase. The sound, action and feel are just incredible. Get ojne for yourself and see. Small price for a big sound.

nice guitar

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

i really like this 12 string the price was right so i thought i would try it. im glad i did. it sounds great which is important to me i can be picky about the way my guitar sounds. the action is smooth and is comfortable to play, i have had 12 strings that were rough on the hands and fingers. it came untuned and took alittle bit of time to get it right. it seems to hold tune well after i got it tuned. i would recommend this guitar, if you want a good inexpensive 12 string this is it.

Ok for the price

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

Not a bad guitar for the price however it is pretty much unplayable out of the box. First the guitar came tuned when shipped, who ships a guitar tunned??? There was buzzing on the first three fretts when played straight out of the box, but that is due to the Nut and Saddle needing to be sanded down. Once I severly sanded both, adjusted the truss rod a bit and put lighter gauge strings on (which is a must), the guitar is very playable, and has a decent tone especailly for cheap 12 string. Gotta say that its a good guitar if you have a couple hours and the knowledge to set it up correctly, if you don't spend another 100 bucks and get a better instrument.

Great Guitar

By Dan-otlFP

from Schenectady, NY

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

This was my first 12 string. I didn't have a lot to spend but really wanted one. I am very glad I got it and for the price it was a great buy. Here are the positives: Great sound, stays in tune well, easy to play with light guage strings. The only negatives I found are: It's a bit heavier and bulkier than the more expensive models. It also does not have some of the fancy design work some might have - very plain. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars was because I know the plain-ness (is that a word?) might put some people off. It really doesn't bother me though and I really love this guitar. I have played a few of the higher end models in stores and they did sound a little better but not enough for 10 times the price in my opinion. If you are looking for a 12 string on a budget, get this guitar. You won't be disappointed.

Nice Product

By tmercks

from Maryville, TN

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

I purchased this guitar April, 2005. I only play it occasionally, but I have to tell you - what a tone; like playing with a chorus. One tip - tune all strings down a notch and use a capo. This will lessen the stress on the neck. This is an excellent choice for your first 12 string, and almost three years later, mine is still in mint condition. Also, if you're not sure 12 strings is right for you, this is a great instrument to try out. Yes, Happy I bought it and I would do so again.

excellent guitar with great tone, sound, and quality

By Russ Moore

Comments about Rogue Herringbone 12-String Acoustic Guitar:

Rogue is a brand that is very underrated. All of their products are priced to meet the needs of people on limited budgets. This guitar is a blem item, but I can't find the blem anywhere. This guitar is in new condition! A 12 string guitar sounds beautiful when tuned correctly. This guitar is no exception and has the sound and tone of a much more expensive guitar. I would highly recommend the Rogue brand. My purchase experience with them was very positive and I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
