I ordered this instrument for my wife to replace an Aria Jumbo circa 1974. Both of us have had Applause by Ovation guitars in the past, but I was pleasantly surprised to see how much nicer the Celebrity is than our beat up Applause.
The fit and finish are outstanding. The detail in the sound hole rosette is top notch, making this reasonably priced guitar look more like a top of the line model. The built-in tuner works very well and I was able to tune the guitar in a few minutes, right out of the ice cold shipping container! The neck is very comfortable, much like and electric rather than an acoustic, with low action and accurate intonation.
The sound acoustically is well balanced and strong. I haver not plugged it in yet, but I imagine the pick-up will be everything one expects of an acoustic-electric.
Bottom line...if you don't want to spend a fortune but want a really good guitar, buy one of these!

I bought my version of this guitar almost 30 years ago. Yes, that's 30 years. I have an expensive Gibson ES-335 that sits in the closet most of the time and this is the one that I grab more often than not. It has a smaller neck, which is nice because I don't have giant hands. I can't imagine a more durable guitar. I just changed the strings this weekend on it and it has a rich sound worthy of a more expensive guitar. I use it for recording in my home studio too. You won't find a better acoustic-electric in this price range.

I ordered this guitar in natural and because I did that, it took quite a while to receive the guitar. I will say this, the guitar is one of the very best I have ever played. It has great sound and for the money you are going to receive all you are paying for and more as it relates to the guitar itself. They promise a hard case for Free, but I had to call the company many times about the case. They kept telling me the cases were on back order from their vender. If you need help you had better call the sales department. Forget the Free case ---the guitar is worth the money!!

I fell in love with this guitar. Ovation always does an awesome job with guitars. This guitar is at an awesome price with great tone and projection. My friends keep on asking me to bring the guitar to school. The guitar is comfortable when sitting down and when standing up. Also the guitar sounds great plugged in. The three-band equalizer is really handy for when it is plugged in.
