Martin at its stunning best

Comments about Martin D-42 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

The most beautiful martin I have seen and played. I haven't played more than 20 but this one was the nicest sounding and looking. Construction and detail is perfect. Action is the easiest of any guitar I have played. Hard to put it down at night. Smell of rosewood is intoxicating.Sound is sweet and rich. Gives back what you want. Had a top notch player put it through its paces and he was stunned. He thout it was magical. The way he played is how I want to sound! Coming home after work is such a joy to open the case and sit and play with the TV on mute. This is an instant heirloom that is in my will. It just begs you to practice. The Martin company is first rate and the factory tour is well worth the time to get to Nazareth PA. The D-42 is Martin at its finest!

Simply the best sounding guitar, period.

Comments about Martin D-42 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought my Martin D-42 from Music123.com about a year and 9 months ago. Before I actually bought one I had the chance to play many guitars from different companies, and it always came back to the D-42. The D-28 series sounded real good, and I really liked the sound of the Gibson hummingbird. But I was really drawn to the complete and utter fullness of sound and super high resonance of the Martin D-42. Of course the top-notch woods and styling are perfect also. Now this is a Guitar! It's worth every penny! I'll never sell it!

Extraordinary Guitar!

By Paul-8dfPy

Comments about Martin D-42 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this guitar sight unseen after reading so many great reviews. To make matters worse, I was working out of the country and couldn't get my hands on it for two months after the purchase. You can imagine the anticipation I had opening the box. I have to say when I opened the case, I fell in love. It really exceeded my expectations. It was incredibly beautiful. The smell was wonderful as well as the rosewood scent drifted out. I picked it up, tuned it and started to play. I am still amazed every time I pick it up at the sound, the beauty and the ease of play. I have only had it in my hands a month, but I can't let a day go by without picking it up and playing. You can't go wrong with this guitar. Get one and enjoy it.

simply the best guitar for me !

Comments about Martin D-42 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar:

I have played a number of guitars in my life . I played my first d42 about 5 years ago and was stricken with the desire to own one. I have researched the martin site as well as music123's site and others as well. I have owned this guitar for about three months and it just keeps on getting better. When it fully opens up it will be extraordinary as it is loud now. My only regret is that I waited 5 years to buy one. I may buy another guitar but I will not get rid of this one.
