Play the "As good As" guitar

By pbrening

from Gering Nebraska

Comments about Martin D-41 Dreadnought Guitar:

Ive been playing guitar for 35+ years and have always dreamed of owning a D45. Well, Ive found that my dreams can come true the Martin D41 is the perfect fit for the accomplished player who has a modest budget. The Price is Right while considering this instrument. Imagine, playing a piece of history. With the Martin Company being in existence for 175 years that alone should say it all. I once had a friend that used to say Why buy the guitar that the biggest sales pitch is it is as good as the Martin when you can buy the as good as model itself? Believe me to sit down and play the D41 (or D45minus 800 pieces of abalone inlay) you will find it intoxicating. The sound surrounds you in a complete way that to experience the way it sounds and feels is only the true measurement of its worth. My words can only entice you let the full, rich sound of the history of how the D41 is made capture you too. I have played many, many acoustic guitars and own many as well from my Taylor 814CE to my lowly Gibson dreads. Understand, you must own a Martin to complete your guitar inventory. My problem is I only want to play my D41. I also love the 175 years of history behind my Martin. It is truly the as good as guitar. Why own anything else?

Wow

By Josh R.

from Raleigh, NC

Comments about Martin D-41 Dreadnought Guitar:

The Martin D-41 is a very beautiful guitar! However, the sound is even prettier than the guitar! When I was asked by my wife to describe the sound, I just gasped. I don't have words to describe the beauty of the tone. It sounds so good, it just sort of takes your breath away when you first play one! Unbelievable guitar pretty much sums it up!

Beautiful guitar, beautiful sound

Comments about Martin D-41 Dreadnought Guitar:

After owning many guitars, including some disappointing ones, I took my time choosing a D41 and have no regrets. It is an exquisite instrument and in my view style 41 is the most beautiful of all the Martins - I find the top end models a little over-ornamented. I was surprised to find how much I needed to lower the action before I could play it my way (mainly fingerstyle) up the fretboard, but I watched the luthier do it and was assured it is an easy guitar to work on with plenty of adjustability, though the saddles are tightly fixed and hard to remove. The only complaint I have is that as I can't bear to take any chances with the beautiful finish I do not play it as often as my humbler guitars - but I do keep looking at it! I was surprised to see that Martin recommend 13 gauge strings which are about the heaviest you can buy - I tend to use 12s or 11s.

Dream Guitar

By John Carlson

from Saint Petersburg, FL USA

Comments about Martin D-41 Dreadnought Guitar:

The D-41 is beautiful to look at, a joy to play, and has a wonderful rich and full sound. I love the action of this guitar. It is hard to put it down. I was a little worried about playing with medium gauge strings but have found them to be a nice match with this instrument. The medium gauge strings stay in tune on this instrument like no other guitar I have played. I should have purchased one of these years ago. Music123 had the best price on this guitar and the service was excellent. I ordered the guitar and had it shipped normal UPS ground and had it in my hands 7 days later. The Guitar arrived in perfect condition.

Great Guitar and a Great Price

By Joe Thatcher

from Tallmadge, OH USA

Comments about Martin D-41 Dreadnought Guitar:

This guitar has the great Martin sound. It has the distinct D4x series looks to go with the sound. There is the deep bass sound without having to beat on the strings, yet the higher notes still ring with authority. MUSIC123 had the best price on the web and was remarkably lower than the local dealers.
