Great Guitar, USE THE STRAP!!!
Comments about Martin Nylon String Backpacker Acoustic Guitar:
I just got mine yesterday, and I love it. I am not a pro, but I like to sit and strum, learning new songs on the web. Handy little guitar to keep next to my computer table. I've got mine hanging on the wall as it kind of looks like an object d'art. If you use the strap that is included, you will find that it is very comfortable to play. That must be why they include the strap in the price, right? Nice padded gig bag too. Craftsmanship is Martin all the way. I could not be happier.

great sound, action, just 1 problem...
Comments about Martin Nylon String Backpacker Acoustic Guitar:
The Martin backpacker is a great guitar for the price. Compact, lightweight with great action and great sound from such a small body. The only thing I don't like about it is the body's narrow shape makes it want to roll on your knee or even when using a strap. If it were just a little wider it would be awesome.

Play it everyday
Comments about Martin Nylon String Backpacker Acoustic Guitar:
The backpacker is a great and versatile guitar. I have owned mine for the last several years. There are those who say that guitar isn't as great because it gets drowned out or that it requires a strap to play it properly. However, I think that when one considers that this little dynamo can go anywhere, play almost as well as a full size, and that it is very comfortably priced, they will agree it's in a class all by itself. I've played mine everywhere and never had a problem being heard or making an impact with it. If you already play, then this is the guitar for you.

Great for travel, but travel only.
Comments about Martin Nylon String Backpacker Acoustic Guitar:
I have a steel and had a nylon version. These are good for travel and carry on luggage but unless you wear the strap they are difficult to play. Also no truss rod so eventually the action gets high. The sound is small but the tone is good. If you play in a group you get drowned out. Best for playing solo on vacation or camping. Very durable. Be sure to try another half size first with real Guitar shape. Once again, the small thin size is great for travel. But for travel only.

Better Than Expected
Comments about Martin Nylon String Backpacker Acoustic Guitar:
This little guitar is much better than I expected for it's size. I have played a Martin Backpacker steel string, but the nylon string is much better in my opinion. It's great for sitting around the living room and playing while watching TV, or to take with you anywhere. Very well constructed.
