The Martin MMV Solid Top Dreadnought Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar is a dream come true. A solid Sitka spruce top, solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and ebony fretboard is what many would call the perfect combination of woods for the acoustic guitar. The renowned Martin X-bracing makes the most of these tonewoods.
Featuring a deluxe 19-ply rosette, gold tuners, and white binding, this guitar looks as good as it sounds. The nitrocellulose gloss finish both protects and allows the guitar to get better with age.

Comments about Martin Mmv Solid Top Dreadnought Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar:
THis guitar is so underated, I have been looking for it for 2 yrs. I have tried all of them and the other day at the GC I had the pleasure of playing one and it sounded better than the HD-28 so I went home dreaming. I had an older adirondack model that ai just sold and waas itching for a Martin dreadnut. This was the perfect guitar for me. It sounded sweeter than the adirondack top Martin I had. The dreadnut is awsome size and the ultimate sound. GC really outdone themeselves on this one, I'd say they got themselves an HD-28 for half the price. I love, love this guitar
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best Value in a Solid Woods Martin
Comments about Martin Mmv Solid Top Dreadnought Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar:
I've had my MMV for 3 years now. Best dreadnought I've ever had. It's like having a D-28 for about half the price. Big, rich Martin sound. If you've ever wanted a solid woods Martin, you won't go wrong with this one. i shopped a long time before getting the MMV. It's the best guitar in its price range.

Excellent guitar for the price.
Comments about Martin Mmv Solid Top Dreadnought Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar:
I bought this guitar because it was a high quality martin at less than half the price of the D-28. The sound is deep throaty with great harmonics. I believe this guitar is destined to become a collector piece. It does not have the harring bone binding like its cousin but it has a gloss top, ebony fret board with 14 clear frets and Standard X Bracing. Just compare its sound to other brands in the same price range. You wont find a solid wood acoustic that will out play the MMV. Whether you are a professional or a hobbyist, this guitar is an excellent choice.

Price to Performance Ratio?
Comments about Martin Mmv Solid Top Dreadnought Rosewood/Sitka Acoustic Guitar:
I've owned several acoustic guitars. This is my first Martin. I have to say, although you do get all the quality hardwoods you could possibly want with this model, I can't say with total certainty that it justifies the price tag. My Ibanez AW500ECE-NT sounds almost as good to my ears, and is louder than this Martin even unplugged. The MMV does have a slightly more complex sound, and is definitely easier to play right out of the box. But at double the price it leaves me wondering... was it worth it. The Martin TKL case it came with allows for a snug fit, but the quality was sub-par for any guitar brand. I guess I'll have to wait and see how this baby "opens up" with age.
