sweet
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
This is the finest guitar I have ever had in my hands. I own two other Martins but this one beats them both. The finest tone, easy to play and sounds better every day. I have played guitar for over 35 years and this is the best I have seen or heard. Expensive? A little, but worth every penny. You get what you pay for and you are not just buying a name but quality.

The ultimate in acoustic guitars
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
This Martin has an unbelievably big warm tone without losing crispness. It cuts through a mix like none other. It also has unparalleled playability. After comparing several higher end guitars, and after playing for years . . . this guitar now sets the standard that I hold all acoustinc guitars to. Well done Martin!

unbelievable
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
The first ten words out of my mouth were WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW,WOW! Just holding it, you know you have one of the finest instruments ever made. I received my Martin HD28V today from Music123, (Who I would like to thank for sending two day shipping)and I am so happy I purchased this guitar. It sounds unbelievable! I had a Gibson hummingbird which also sounded awesome but was a little to mellow for me this Martin rings true... I can't wait to show it of at the next jam session and bury my friends with it. I have finally found my guitar. Thank you Martin thank you Music123.

Buy it
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
I had the opportunity four years ago to buy a guitar - I had played many acoustics over the years and had come to respect Martin as one of the best. My eye was caught by an HD28V and it was the first guitar I tried out. The tone jumps out of this, and the guitar feels like it has a life of its own. I've played great stuff before, wind instruments and such, and only the very best has a feel like this. I played several other Martins and maybe 50 other guitars of various brands, and came back to get this one before someone else got it! It still feels like it's my 'new toy' even after hundreds of hours of playing. In fact it's sitting out in the other room waiting for me to get done on the computer, so back I go.

all around GREAT instrument
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
I recently came into owning an early model HD-28 V by way of my late father. I've always been a Gibson enthusiast, but after playing the '28 I've been completely converted forever! I also own a vintage '66 Gibson J-50 and a '78 Martin D-35, but time and again I find that I'm always playing the HD-28 V; I literally can't put it down. The craftsmanship is superb. The tone and playing ease are unmatched. This guitar has a booming bottom-end and crystal-clear highs plus all the great appointments of the highly valued D-28's from the 30's with the added plus of a truss rod! Whether I'm playing George Shuffler-style crosspicking, single note runs reminiscent of Clarence White or straight up East Texas blues ala Lightnin' Hopkins, this guitar has THE tone! The majority of my work consists of electric blues dates up & down the East Coast, but since I've been playing my HD-28 V, I'm ready to lay down the electric and dedicate myself to the Martin. Take it from me; if you buy this guitar you'll never doubt if you've made the right choice!

Martin HD28 V kicks!
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
I recently purchased a Martin HD28 V to add to my collection of a D 16RGT, and D28. The HD28 V takes your breath away with the the prewar appointments. The sustain, volume, and clarity of the tone is second to none. The ebony fretboard and the neck are fast and a pleasure to play. The workmanship, as is the case with all Martin Guitars, is impeccable. The guitar is understated yet stunning in its appearance. The materials are top of the Martin's line of guitars. If you look carefully at the appointments of the D-35's on up to the 45's, you're paying for glitz. The HD28 V is a superb heirloom quality guitar.

HD28V
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
After many, many years as a cellist, I decided I wanted to try to learn guitar. On the advice of my local shop, I played dozens (and dozens) of guitars before returning to the shop to "buy the guitar you'll keep forever", said the manager. When I returned, I had decided on a Taylor. He went into the backroom and came back with an HD28V Martin. It was like harp music. It was unbelievable. I left with it that day, having decided on it after listening to the very first chord he played...a G, I think it was.

Another Fantastic Martin
Comments about Martin HD-28V Vintage Dreadnought Guitar:
I have 4 Martins, a Martin DM, JC16RGTE, D28 and the HD28V. From the least to the most appointed Martin, you can't go wrong. The HD28V has it's own deep rich bass and clear as a bell treble. If you have a little more to spend for a D28 that has the sound and appointments of the classic D28, then you'll want a Martin HD28V.
