A beautiful guitar worthy of a great player!

The Martin 000-28EC Eric Clapton Signature Acoustic Guitar is handcrafted with a premium East Indian rosewood back and sides and a bookmatched top of select quartersawn Sitka spruce. Its smaller 000 body size and short 24-9/10" scale help produce delicate, balanced tones. The rosette and soundboard are inlaid with herringbone wood marquetry, and the body is bound with grained ivoroid. An ebony fingerboard features a long diamonds-and-squares pattern in abalone pearl. Eric's signature is inlaid in mother-of-pearl between the 19th and 20th frets. Tastefully appointed with hand-beveled tortoise pickguard, nickel-plated open-geared machines equipped with unique butterbean knobs. Each Martin Eric Clapton Signature Guitar bears an interior label, individually numbered in sequence. Includes limited lifetime warranty and deluxe Martin hardshell case. Choose Natural or 1935 Sunburst in the drop down menu.

Very nice.

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

Very nice guitar. It could stand a bit of high end though. Excellent for finger style. Not as good for strumming. Couldn't give 5 stars because of the lack of treble response. Nice case. Guitar is LIGHT. Love the shorter scale. Didn't think I'd like the V shape neck. I LIKE it.

I felt in love with her at the first time

By

from Madrid, Spain

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I find the 000-28EC at my favourites local musical store. I play it first time in a jam sessions with other people in the shop, after commercial time. There was this beauty and others Martins (D28, D35, my DM) two high-end Taylors (very nice sound, but too brightly with the Elixir strings IMO). The 00028EC sounds balanced, warm, loud, personnal, a tasty classical (Bluesy?), different from the all others, and more louder than the small body size can indicate. The action is perfect, not high and without buzzing. The woods are beautiful. The finish is first class. The comments about the tuners (open & looking cheaps) or Corian and Micarta nut & saddle (not bone) are senseless IMHO. This guitars sounds, looks and plays like heaven. Also it is very easy to play (small body and short scale). If you play it without a pick, then the sound changes from wonderful to amazing. This guitar will be with me for my live. I really felt in love with it.

Fantastic

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

This guitar is the greatest instrument I have ever played. The neck shape also makes it very easy to play. Perfect string spacing. Dead on frets also make tuning puzzles disappear. The sound is incredible. Forget about sex, drugs and rock&roll, this wonder beats them all. 5 stars. I'm in love for life.

Couldn't put it down.

By

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

When I unpacked and tuned it I couldn't put it down. I've owned many guitars in my life and this has to be one of the nicest sounding instruments I've ever played. It's smaller body sounds very rich and well balanced. The smaller size also makes it very comfortable to play. I like the finish and the extra detail. For those of you who appreciate it, the Clapton signature is on the fret board close to the sound hole. This is a keeper for life.

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I've had my guitar for a few months now. Every time I open the case, I know I made the right decision in purchasing it. The woods are beautiful and flawlessly finished. The marquetry around the soundhole is precise. The whole guitar is a masterpiece! The sound is very balanced and pure... every chord is heavenly. You will not be disappointed with this beautiful, finely crafted instrument.

Great Tone and Feel!

By

from Dallas,TX, USA

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

I have had this guitar for a couple of weeks now and still feels like the best acoustic I have ever played. I was looked at Ovations, Taylors, Gibsons and other Martins. This one has the sound and feel that I love. The smaller body and the shorter scale length of the neck are my favorite features. Of course, having Eric's signature on the neck is a nice touch. If this was lost, stolen or mangled beyond recognition I would definitely buy another one.

THIS IS A KEEPER!!!!!

By

from Rocky Hill, CT

Comments about Martin 000-28 Eric Clapton Signature Auditorium Acoustic Guitar:

Don't expect the powerhouse bass that you get from a dreadnaught, but this is one of the nicest sounding guitars I've ever played. If tonal balance appeals to you, you'll love this guitar. I've only had it for a week and I can tell you without a doubt that this one is with me for the long haul. A little research showed it got rave reviews from several guitar magazines as well. As long as you aren't thinking Dreadnaught power in your mind, you will love this instrument.
