Brings together a bubinga body with a cedar top for resplendent tone.

Featuring a carefully chosen, solid Canadian cedar top and laminated bubinga back and sides, the Caballero 11 classical guitar is a beauty to behold and play. The headstock and fretboard are made of Indian rosewood. Nickel-plated tuners and Silver-plated frets are installed to last a lifetime. The body binding and wood rosette are exquisite.

The Rodriguez Guitar is hand crafted and glued to create precise balances. From the invisible careful sanding, even inside the body, that ensures the finished instrument's purity of tone, to the beautifully unique rosette inlays around the soundhole and on the back of the neck, each guitar is a credit to its luthier and worthy of being handed down from one generation to another.

The tone, resonance and beauty of fine guitars are all dependent upon the wood from which they are made. The wood used in the construction of Rodriguez guitars is carefully chosen and aged to guarantee the highest quality. No wood is purchased before the tree has been cut down, and at least 2 years must elapse before the tree is turned into lumber. The wood has to be well cut from the log. The grain must be close and absolutely vertical. The shop is totally free from humidity.

The Rodriguez Caballero 11 guitar features a multi-colored wood rosette, as exquisite as the sounds that issue from it. Their intricacy and beauty signify the attention to detail that characterizes every Rodriguez guitar.

Extremely pleased with the Rodriguez classical guitar but disappointed with the 1/2 size yamaha guitarleli's sound quality.

Anyone who wants to learn classical guitar, and be able to perform recitcles etc... Get This Guitar!

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 11 Cedar Top Classical Guitar:

This guitar is the best feel/sound you're going to get in this price range. Very clean and clear with perfect intonation all the way up the fretboard. It doesn't project incredibly well, but is perfect for miking. THE ONLY CON: The action needs to be adjusted slightly. (at least on mine) The strings slap on frets further up the neck when the first two frets are played. This means that the nut must be raised slightly giving the whole guitar a slightly higher action. The original action is pretty low though (for a classical) so it's fine.

Great Value, Beatiful Look and Sound

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Caballero 11 Cedar Top Classical Guitar:

I first saw this guitar in a Guitar Center locally. It was kind of banged up from people messing with it in the store. But it was a great sounding, feeling, playing, and looking guitar. And for the price, I couldn't find anything else that I felt good about. I like the fact that the guitar is made in Spain. I know this model isn't handcrafted, it is a factory model, but it sounds great. I had to wait several weeks for this guitar to be in stock, but it was worth the wait. The guitar arrived in perfect condition. It has an even better color and tone than the demo guitar I had seen. I love playing my guitar - I have made the full switch to nylon string guitars from steel string acoustic (the sound is more appropriate for solo guitar playing). I also got a case for this guitar. I purchased a musicians gear deluxe case. It wiggles a bit in this case, but I put a cloth in there for padding and it is just fine for storing and carrying around.
