Comments about Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar:
I am not the best guitarist in the world, but it doesn't take an expert to tell you that this guitar is amazing and budget-friendly. I picked this up in-person and immediately loved it. I tried out two identical guitars and they were consistent in sound. The Jasmine s35 has a tone just as beautiful as a much more expensive guitar. As I would with most guitars, I recommend it be restrung immediately after purchase. It isn't neck-heavy and it plays very nicely. The action was fine, but you can improve it just by adjusting the truss rod. It holds its tune quite well once the strings get a little use.
This guitar is built very well. It is made by the same people who construct Takamine guitars and deserves to carry that name. Not only does the sound suffice, but its appearance does as well. I am not a fan of high-gloss finishes so this guitar was perfect for my taste. The finish was natural and warmer in color than what many pictures online would suggest. I would recommend this guitar to anyone playing at any level of experience.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar:
Jasmine S35 is one awesome laminate (plywood) guitar. Manufacturer packaging of this guitar was top notch and that's a very good sign. The craftsmanship to this guitar is perfect, surprisingly at this price. The neck action out of the box was perfect; the strings are low enough too play single notes and cords easily; if they were any lower you would hear fret buzz. The curvature of the neck is just right also, it's very shallow. Neck curvature is required to prevent fret buzz. It has a good neck, not bulky and not too thin. The tuning machines are not the best but, they definitely keep the strings in tune for a long time.
A laminate guitar can never produce the overtones and the harmonics that a solid wood guitar can but, nonetheless this guitar has a good sound (tone & volume). Its' price is very reasonable and if you can pick it up on a sale then you got yourself a great deal.
There are advantages to an all-laminate guitar. It is sturdier and less fragile in extreme weather and humidity conditions than the more expensive solid wood guitar. And because laminate guitars are cheaper, they make a great first instrument for the beginner and a great practice or so called "beater" guitar for the pro.
I've been playing since 1974 and since then I have purchased many acoustic guitars and have played a countless number of them in stores. Currently I own several acoustics and my $3000.00 Taylor dreadnought is my most expensive. Some of my other acoustics are all-solid wood guitars and some others are top solid with laminate sides and back.
So why did I buy this low price laminate guitar when I have so many others? Because I use a magnetic soundhole pickup for gigs and magnetic pickups generate a sound from string vibration and not the vibration from the sound board and they are not like a microphone to pickup the sound from the guitar body either. No matter which guitar you use a magnetic pickup with they will all have the same amplified sound as long as you are using the same strings on them. Why take a more expensive solid wood guitar to a gig and risk damaging it in the transport, set-up or tear down.
I'm very happy with the purchase of Jasmine S35; if it ever got broken beyond repair I'll buy another one like it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great Guitar
Comments about Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar:
I have to say I am very impressed with this guitar. As always I never even tune up the stock strings I just cut them off and replace them with Martin Xp special lights. Had to give the truss 1/8 turn and shim the bridge a small amount, for the action was very low. As with most guitars do not expect to take it straight from the box and it be perfect. Fit and finish on my Guitar is perfect. A couple sharp fret ends but a little file work solved that. My Guitar has a very nice tone, Brighter than my NEX with good volume and bass. The playability of the neck is excellent. I am very happy

my very first guitar! I love it
Comments about Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar:
It has a rich sound! My husband grabs my guitar first now! Love it. I bought another for my son. The strings are a little tough on the fingers, but I'm glad I learned this way. I got tough in a couple of weeks, now I can play anything. Love it

You Get What You Pay For
Comments about Jasmine S35 Acoustic Guitar:
There's quite a bit of fret buzz, it can be reduced a lot by tweaking the neck forward a little bit it never goes away. Overall though it's exactly what you'd expect, a cheap beginner guitar or a toss around that sounds better than most.
