Overall: I ordered this guitar in afghanistan. I wanted something cheap that i wouldn't feel bad parting with, and it only had to last a year. I had low expectations, but got the opposite of what i expected. this guitar is light, and yet sturdy. The size is perfect, and the extended neck is great. I checked each and every fret from the lowest to the very highest note. Not a single buzz or hum from any fret, and the sound quality is great. I wouldn't mind paying more for| Review By: Richard Stauffer | 6 months, 4 weeks ago5 people out of 5 found this review helpful
Overall: I was surprized as how well this guitar plays and sounds for the price, a bargain price as for now, don't miss out on this guitar, and it looks very nice in the wood as it saids Nato, it really looks like a natural wood, and feels light and very confortable in the arms, new strings were needed. Let them know , and you may get new ones. All in all , I'm happy with it, I think you will too, never judge a guitar by price and picture. Overall: Just bought this Jasmine at a great price! All I can say is what a bargain! Looks great, feels great, plays great, sounds great. Extremely light and very comfortable to hold and play. The neck and fretboard are very comfortable and everything is fretted easily. Feels every bit as good in my hands as my more expensive Washburn. Also very hard to find a cut-away model at this price. Any beginner would love to learn on this guitar. Better players would really enjoy it| Review By: Michael Feia | 1 year, 8 months ago17 people out of 17 found this review helpful
Overall: Primarily, I have owned countless electrics, acoustic/electrics, and acoustics throughout my life, had to sell everything I had of value to survive and this being the only guitar I could afford as well as, 1st guitar I have had in 7 months. I have owned this guitar now exactly 9 months and it still is playing perfectly moreso, the action still remaining identicle to where I set it. ( I should say it played fine when I got it and normal for me to "fine-tune" any acoustic I| Review By: Gerald Brewster | 2 years, 3 months ago5 people out of 5 found this review helpful
Overall: Although I've only had this guitar for a very short time, it seems to uphold Takamine's high standards, even with the less desirable nato wood back and sides, which makes the amazing price possible. All in all, I am pleasantly surprised with this instrument, which is allowing me to return to playing after too many years away from it, without spending a lot of money. Perhaps in the future, I'll invest more into one made with a more optimum tone wood back, but for now, I'm| Review By: Just Learning... | 2 years, 3 months ago10 people out of 10 found this review helpful
Overall: I am a beginner guitar player and was not looking to invest too much in a starter guitar so I decided to purchase the Jasmine. There were a few minor setbacks such as the neck being slightly bowed and coming strung with corroded strings, but I took it in to our local luthier and for $35 he fixed the neck/truss rod, filed some frets, and put new strings on it. Now it sounds amazing! I love it! The neck is perfect for my small hands and the sound is rich and loud. Overall: This guitar I purchased for a gift. The guitar plays with a nice tone and looks like more expensive guitars that are on the market. I would definetly purchase again from Music123 they are a great site for music supplies. They are very customer friendly.| Review By: j loechler | 2 years, 7 months ago7 people out of 12 found this review helpful
Overall: cool concept for a affordable guitar. neck is way big and bulky, thinly constructed body, feels like i can push through it. cheap tuners. for the price get a rogue , tehy are constructed better.. but if u have to have the takamine name on a product, id suggest getting a better model, for the price there are better options.it is a plaYABLE guitar, but in my 20 years of playing, i have picked up cheaper guitars built| Review By: jim-58QSJ | 3 years, 2 months ago4 people out of 4 found this review helpful
Overall: This thing is amazing for a first guitar. I've had mine for five years and it has held up fine. It stays in tune ridiculously well for a guitar of its price. i own three other higher priced guitars now but still pick this one up sometimes when i'm just jamming around my house. The finish is nothing to rave about but it's not bad. the guitar has a pickguard and a cutaway. nice features for the price. great sound to it. decent harmonics. go for it.| Review By: Anthony-Af7cI | 3 years, 4 months ago2 people out of 2 found this review helpful
Overall: I'm one of those eternal beginners who never follows through on learning how to really play and I've had 5 different guitars in my lifetime -- but the NEX is my favorite by far and I'm really enjoying learning how to play. For the price, you get a great guitar -- it sounds very nice, it's easy to play and it looks good too. The only thing I would suggest is to change the strings once you get it -- at someone's suggestion, I put on some nice light strings and it holds a
