Celebrated for its playability and sustain.
The Jackson SL1 USA Soloist Electric Guitar has a combination of thru-body neck, heelless construction, fast neck profile, and compound-radius fretboard that give it a feel and sound like no other. Seymour Duncan pickups and Floyd Rose Original tremolo come standard on the SL1. The USA Soloist features alder body wings, maple neck, and a bound ebony compound-radius fretboard.
Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Comments about Jackson SL1 USA Soloist Electric Guitar:
2 weeks ago was my birthday. so my wife took me guitar shopping in dalian china. i went to the top 5 guitar shops in some special disrict for guitars. i tried 35 different guitars from 4 countries.
there was alot to pick from. korea, japan, america and china. the 2nd guitar I played was a black no frills looking Jackson SL1...
Nothing impressed me like the SL1 after many hours of trying guitars.
my wife and best friend were with me and listened to each guitar. Everyone agreed on the Jackson. so, we got it.
if you have a chance, try one. you may become convinced as i did that these guitars rock really well. i've done no customizing yet. we're talking a stock guitar...
i've been playing gibsons and strats since i was 17... i am 49 now...
stock strings are good also, but i plan to use some: ernie baall skinny top heavy bottoms soon.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Jackson SL1 USA Soloist Electric Guitar:
Jackson USA Select guitars are probably about the best guitars that you can lay your greasy mits on, period. These are not just for shredders. Raise the action a tad and with some .11. gauge strings the Duncan JB bridge PUP with give you some nice jazz tone too with a wide comfy neck to go along with it.
