An affordable, hard rocking 7-string.

The Ibanez RG7321 7-string electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the RG crunched its way to classic status.

As heavy as it rocks, the RG7321 is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Fixed 7 string thru bridge provides great tone and sustain. Total tonal choice is provided 5-way switching of two Ibanez Axis 7 humbuckers with coil-splitting capabilities.

If you've always wondered what you could do with a 7-string guitar, now is the time to find out.

Great Axe

By Matt Trimble

from Shreveport, la

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

I stumbled on this at a music store. I normally do not care for Ibanez's, but I've been looking for a new 7 string. I ending up buying it. Its not the best guitar Ibanez ever made, but for the price its unbeatable. Its built solid, nicely setup right off the rack, I haven't had to make any adjustments. Everything is quite pleasing. Only reason I didn't rate features a 5 is I'm not a fan of the bolt on necks :/ The pickups do have a lot of bass in them, which isn't a big problem, just pull the bass back in your preamp and you'll be fine. They sound excellent clean. I'm pleased for now, but I'll probably switch the bridge pickup out with an Evo. The neck pickup sounds great for what I use it for, it can stay. I wouldn't record with the stock pickups though. They can just be improved. Ibanez has withstood the test of time, they do take great care of customers, they have that signature feel to their necks, and they (in my opinion) are the authority on 7 strings. This is the first Ibanez I have cared to own. I do not think anyone would be disappointed in this guitar.

THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELLS THIS GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Cory Todd

from Hertford, North Carolina

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

When I first started playing music, I never new anything about a seven string guitar. New thought there be one. I've been playing for 6 3/4 years and I've been playing only seven strings since. My cousin showed me his guitar collection and his Shecter 7-string caught my eye. I gave it a try and it just blew my mind to a billion pieces. I've had this guitar for over 5 years and have bought other 7 strings, but this is my favorite. I just luv the low end crunch and it's perfect for my "Arabic metal". I tune down to A standard for a seven string. I absolutely luv this guitar.

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

This is my main axe. The Ibanez pickups sound amazing, so much bottom end to them. The distortion sounds amazing and the clean sounds great too. The guitar looks and plays beautifully. I recommend this guitar to anyone. I mostly play metalcore/hardcore and it makes my rig sound so much better. PERFECT GUITAR.

best decision of my life!

By Will H.

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

Even though I have only been playing for 2 years I am a fast learner. I started to listen to KoRn a wile back and decided it was time to pick up a 7 string. This is the best guitar I have ever played! I have compared it to all of the guitars I own (I have 7) and it just rocks! I usually play with a lot of distortion but it is very good when played clean although it sounds best for blues (when clean). Because I like to play a lot of KoRn songs and most of there stuff is deep I run it thru a fender bass amp. I dont know what its called but it came in the P-bass pack. I only have 2 problems with it. One is that because Im used to the Epiphone bridge set up (you no w/ out the saddles) it took me awhile to get used to palm muting. The other is that there is a bit of string buzz but you dont have to adjust it that much. Other than that its the perfect guitar for me and hopefully for you if youre looking for a well made 7 string.

No better guitar for the money

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

Out of the box this Ibanez plays great, just like all Ibanez guitars. I am very picky when it comes to my weapons and this passes all tests with flying colors. The neck is a typical smooth feeling and fast Ibanez product. The frets are nicely shaped with no jagged edges or dead spots. When I got mine I immediately changed the strings and polished the fret board and that made it feel like a truly great guitar. The pickups are adequate for the money, but I did eventually upgrade the bridge pickup. The neck pickup is smooth and silent. One thing that was surprising is how light the guitar is compared to the sound it throws out. It is very easy to get a thick distortion tone from it provided your amp can kick it. Highly recommended for those on a budget or those who want a great guitar for small money.

Great guitar

By justin-Q1mhJ

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

I played this at Guitar city. And i must say it is a great guitar. Very nice and sturdy. Theres not much difference between this and the Washburn WG587 7 string. Besides this has better humbuckers and a slimer neck. Makes a great second seven string. But for your first seven string id recomend the Washburn WG587.

A Must Have!!! It's My Favorite Guitar!

By LetterstotheDevil

from Georgetown, DE

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

I used to tune down all of my guitars so I decided to get a seven string. I did a lot of shopping and testing before I came across my Ibanez RG. I love everything about the guitar. It's great for playing every style of music and I plan on buying another one. The only thing I would change is the pick ups. They sound pretty good and get the job done if I am recording or playing live. I found this guitar is very comfortable and it didnt take me very long to get used to. Since Im a girl I have small hands the first thing I noticed was the neck, it is very small hand friendly. I have no trouble hitting my marks when playing. This guitar is just awesome.

Best guitar ive ever played

By Diamond

from Texas

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

I dont actually own this guitar. Ive played it at guitar center a couple of times though. I love this guitar. Id kill to own one. I love the feel, the looks, everything. The neck is smooth and very comfortable. But i wasnt a big fan of the strings. When i plugged it in to one of the many amps they have laying around at guitarcenter, the sound was amazing! Very low and very chunky. The low string was almost rubber band like, very bendable. The best 7 string ive ever played. So if you are looking for a 7 string, or have 400 dollars burning a hole in you pocket(haha) buy this. THE BEST 7 STRING AND THE BEST PRICE EVER.

Best quality for the lowest price

By Chad Wiklund

Comments about Ibanez RG7321 7-String Electric Guitar:

This was the second 7-string i have ever owned, and its just great. If you want to try a 7-string but don't want to spend a ton of money on one, BUY IT!!! The pickups may not be as great as the Dimarzios on some older models, but they still sound pretty good. That aside, there aren't really many bad points to make about this guitar, and the RG series will always have a place in our hearts.
