An sharp-looking and value-packed guitar that celebrates the RG design in a dual humbucker configuration.
The RG was developed in the 80s as the Roadstar (RG stands for Roadstar Guitar) and it soon earned a reputation as a pedal-to-the-metal shred machine. Although there are RG players in a range of genres, the metal guitarist continues to be the die-hard RG player. The RG3XXV 25th Anniversary Electric Guitar sports a "best of" collection of features favored by RG fans, including a wizard III neck, dual DiMarzio humbuckers and locking tremolo bridge. This RG also benefits from a bold color treatment with its bright finish and color-matched inlays.

Comments about Ibanez RG3XXV 25th Anniversary Electric Guitar:
I have to say I was disappointed immediately upon opening the box and looking at this guitar. The candy apple red paint is amazing, minus the black dot paint blemishes and pinhole-size dents here and there. There was no plastic on the back cavity covers, and nothing that says "25th Anniversary" anywhere. In fact the cavity covers feel like pretty cheap plastic compared to other guitars I have. The frets definitely need dressing. The back of the neck was rough in some spots. That being said, the trem seems good and stable and the pickups are the highlight of the guitar. The reverse headstock makes it look like a mean rocking machine! I didn't care for the neck - probably because I'm spoiled with an Ibanez Prestige as my other guitar. Overall, pretty good attempt at something special. Oh, and kudos to Ibanez for taking a European guitar (2010 RGR465 model) and turning it into a US 25th Anniversary RG model without blinking an eye. I ultimately returned it.
