A versatile, affordable rocker's weapon.

The Ibanez RG370DX electric guitar's pickups and pickup placement provide the hard-edged cutting tone needed for heavy rock.

Since 1987, many players have selected the Ibanez RG as their weapon of choice for visiting sonic mayhem on the metal masses. With the right choice of pickups and flat, fast necks, the RG has crunched its way to classic status.

As heavy as it rocks, the RG370DX guitar is made of basswood, a comparatively lightweight wood, which makes it very comfortable for extended playing. With a good balance of highs and lows, basswood is right in between alder and mahogany in sound character. 24 jumbo frets offer easy playing for leads and chording and the Edge II tremolo bridge lets you dive bomb all night long.

Decent, but great with some work

By Felonius Monk

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I bought one to have something with a locking trem. The neck is very nice and not as thin as some other Ibanez guitars I have played, but not anywhere near fat. The trem works well, the frets were in pretty good shape, and the pickups sounded very good for stock pickups. The reason for the three stars is because of the electronics. They were not up to par. The switch would not work correctly, the pots were scratchy, and the jack has soldered horribly. I have been playing, repairing, and building guitars for over 20 years so this was not a big deal for me to fix. However, for someone just starting (and who may not have a lot of cash) this would have been a headache. Once I gave it a good setup (be careful you get a true setup when you buy a guitar - not just a polish and new set of strings) it sounds an plays very nice. The build quality is quite good and would be a great place to start for modding. I would not hesitate to gig this guitar after making sure the electronic issues were addressed. This guitar would be great for a beginner and is good enough to grow with the player. If you have a reputable shop (or can do the work yourself) this is really must buy.

A Flexible Guitar

By Salar

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I've owned this guitar for 5 years and I'm pleased with how it turned out. The neck is very versatile and easy to play on. You can shred all along with this thing. The pickups create a good tone and can be used to play different kinds of styles. Although it has it's flaws, tuning this can be a bit tricky. And after a while of use my volume and tone knobs create a popping noise when I increase or decrease the levels. Generally I had no problem using this guitar so I recommend it for beginners and intermediate level guitarists.

Good Guitar to get you started and maintain for awhile

By Terry Marks

Comments about Ibanez RG370DX Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about 3-4 years ago, and today it is still a great guitar. I recommend it to begginers and after you start going into the intermediate stage, this guitar can still handle. The humbuckers and pickup are very nice, the middle pickup works great for clean tones. The bridge humbucker gives a slight trebly tone, while the neck humbucker gives a very warm tone. The tremolo system works perfectly, I had no flaws with it. Other than that this is a perfect guitar. The only frustration I get from it is, when I need to fix the guitar's intonation I have to loosen the strings to get to the nut to loosen it, and we all know with tremoo systems when you start detuning strings how it tends to affecthe tuning of the other strings.
