Its George Benson Special pickups are designed specifically for hollowbody guitars played at high volume. Ebony fretboard and bridge. Medium frets for easier note bending. Headstock and fretboard inlays dress it up for showtime and its distinctive tailpiece tops off the package.

I have a fair collection of guitars. I bought my first GB 10 in 1978. The second one, which has an authentic George Benson signature on the upper cover of the guitar, was bought in 2006 during a trip in Holland. My guitar collection consists amongst other of a Gibson L4 and L5 CES. But the clear and warm sound of the GB10 is unique. Especially on the Polytone Mini Brute IV the GB10 is at his best. I recommend this guitar highly to any serious guitarist

GB10 produces beautiful Jazz tones and can fit in any other music genre. I love it. I have listened to the great guitar players like George Benson, Norman Brown, etc.....play the GB10. It is a lovable instruments.It has always been outstanding since its creation. I wish I could have one (even a 2nd hand), unfortunately there is no left-handed GB10s (I am Left-Handed).

I have owned many guitars, including a 1962 Gibson L5-CES. I have a 1978 GB10 - #549. It doesn't have as good a tone as the L5 with a carved top, but I still prefer it. The size is comfortable for an archtop, and the feel of it is wonderful. I love this guitar. If I use the right strings and amp to support it, I can play jazz, country, rock or blues on it. I still love it after 10 years.

When I began playing jazz on guitar 15 years ago, I searched for the right guitar and found it, a 1981 Ibanez GB10. Of all the jazz boxes I have owned and played, only the GB10 has the sound and feel I prefer. The smaller profile upper and lower bouts and thinner body make it the easiest to play of all the others. You won't ever regret owning one for jazz.

I bought a GB10. It is excellent. It looks brilliant (classy), feels balanced to perfection, and plays like a dream. It's my first jazz guitar and now its my number 1. George Benson and Ibanez have designed a classic.

I tried all the Gibson hollowbodies and none could touch the sound, flexibility and looks of this guitar. I found my early 80's GB10 used for 1,500. What a steal! I would pay double the price for this immaculate instrument.

For years I searched for the sound which the GB10 has and I accidently stumbled onto it through curiosity.There it sat in a display case in a music store and I was actually there to see about checking on another brand of instrument which they carried. I would not even look at an Ibanez thinking of them as being strictly rock guitars, so after spotting it, curiosity got the best of this cat. I tried it...to my surprise I was amazed by the sound. The GB10 did what the American companies had hot been able to recreate since they went to rock, that deep mellow sound in an instrument but without feedback. Great instrument.

The best jazz guitar that I've ever played, makes playing a breeze. You can't get a better tone than this. The neck, the workmanship, even the bronze support nut that allows you to use heavyer strings is uniqe. It's ready to go any time you are.
