This is a great guitar, especially for me. I do not play a lot so I could not see spending $1,000 for a guitar that I do not play every day, or every week for that matter. But, for the price, the quality is outstanding. No buzzing. It is exactly what I was looking for. Made me happy with out shelling out the money. All summed up, great quality, reasonable price.

The Guitar has posed a few problems for me. I'm a classical guitar major and use it quite frequently. The action of the guitar is very nice, and I would agree with all that was said about that. The tone is good for its price range, but doesn't really amplify acoustically. If you're going for a classical guitar to play more acoustic songs (without plugging in) I'd suggest something that does not have electronics, because that and the high gloss finish diminish the overall acoustic volume considerably. I've had a number of problems with buzzing due to the neck going out or electronics being loose. Overall its a decent guitar. (had it for two years) overall - if you're playing more classical without plugging in I'd suggest something else, but if you want the plug in - it has some good options.

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Put a set of hard tension quality strings on her and she sang like an angel! Action as delivered is a bit low, but this is an electric, so why not play lightly and let the amp do the volume? Tuners were sticky, so removed them and lubed before changing strings. Now they have smooth rotation. The two mini frets at the sound hole were cut sharp as a razor blade, so while strings were off I took some 400 grit sandpaper to them and made them non-lethal! Sound is a bit muted unplugged but it is built like a tank!
Overall Quality is way more than can be expected for the price! Will start recording with it this week, nice! Great crossover guitar for beginner to expert.

Still evaluating!

By Robert House

from Undisclosed

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Recieved about a week ago and I am still evaluating it. I consider myself a beginner/intermediate and I don't play often. I own and a play a Takaminie C128 hand made in 1976, solid wood, warm tone; however, I wanted something different. I tried a few of the standard models in this general price range, but was drawn to the Ibanez GA6CE. It looks great, good finish, warm tone and easy to play. I purchased this one used and the concerns I have is that "tuning" does not hold and is slightly off; there is a buzzing on the "G" string; however it is not continuous. I'm considering restring to better and changing the bridge to bone and see if that will help. However, I am presently torn between returning it or making those changes. Overall, I really like the guitar and considering the price it's not a bad. If I make those changes and it works, it will be a GREAT deal

Unbelieveble value

By Evin R

from S. Florida

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I sepnt almost 1/2 day in the guitar room at Guitar Center, picking up everything I thought looked good. It came down to about 3 that had smooth playing, and rich tone... and when I closed my eyes and listened again to this sweet Inbanez, I was hooked! Sure, could have spent a grand or a bit more, but for the sound, feel and action you really can't beat this. Incredibly satified, and just blown away...smilin' every day as I play this :)

Great for classical

By MusicNut

from Maryland

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If you are looking for a classical guitar you can plug into an amp, this is the one to buy. Aside from its cutaway body, this guitar is great if you need more volume in your playing. I hear a lot of classical guitarists use a microphone and receive a lot of feed back. The electronics on the ga6ce are flawless and provide you with lots of warmth. The ga6ce has a wider neck and a thicker body for classical music.

It's a Classical Gas!

By Patrick-Oepk4

from San Jose, CA

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I own over 12 guitars, including Fender, Gretsch, Hofner, Rickenbacker, Epi, and 3 Martins. When I wanted a classical nylon string, I tried many at the local music store and found this Ibanez model. The tone and clarity is that of a $1000 guitar. The craftsmanship and details are XLNT. The fingering was tight and action low enough to make it almost too easy. I constantly buy & sell guitars, but this one's staying!

Beautiful

By Phil-uvfz7

from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

If you want an inexpensive beautiful classical acoustic electric this guitar works on all three levels. The fingerboard action is smooth and the board is just a little less wide than a classical fingerboard but wider than a typical acoustic. The sound is rich and warm when it is played acoustically. I was almost put off buying it because the reviews said that acoustically it has a small sound. Perhaps I wouldn't play this in a concert hall unamplified, but in a small room or even a larger venue using a mike I see no problem. Amplified it sounds much better than the Ax I own. And even with my practice amp it sounds rich. This guitar looks like really quality and feels just right. I'm not a professional player, but I've been playing for over 40 years and I think you'll get more than your money's worth with this guitar.

Wouldn't Change A Thing!

By Jim P

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is one great instrument in tone, craftsmanship, visual appeal and versatility. The action is perfect and the extra cosmetic touches are just enough and not too much. Ibanez delivers terrific bang for the buck and this baby is no exception. Sounds awesome as is or through an amp. Incredibly sweet sound. You need one of these and at this very affordable price you absolutely should consider the GA6CE. You won't be sorry.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!

By EdwardNY

from Brooklyn, NY

Comments about Ibanez GA Series GA6CE Classical Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I usually don't have time to do the review BS but this is an exception. I truly believe that whomever priced this thing had to be on some sort of drug. This guitar compares and even better(lighter) than the $1,000.00 Takamine - CD132SC, which I also play. It's too smooth, too sweet and too good for the money. I think it's a steal for the money. As a matter of fact, I'm going to record my next album using this baby. I truly love it. Ibanez did an exceptional job on this guitar and I would highly recommend it - for around $270.00 you simply can't go wrong.
