A Work of Art(core)

By jamminfool

from Undisclosed

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Series AF75TDGIV Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I recently bought my AF75DGIV, it was love at first sight. I sat in the store for 3 hours playing it through the worst amp they had, and it *still* sounded huge! The tone is rich and creamy, the vibrato bar works like a Bigsby, the finish is damn near flawless, and the playability was exceptional for a guitar in this price range. I did have to do some setup work, as I switched from the 9s that came with it to phos/bronze 12s (I've been using acoustic strings on my electrics for about 2 years now, makes them sound rich). It's my #1 axe now, I won't play another!

Archtops are different

By Duncan Beigne

from Toronto, Canada

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Series AF75TDGIV Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

Archtop construction is different than other guitars. They are more like violin family instruments. That "stick" you are dissing is a soundpost and it couples the top and the back acoustically. They've been used for centuries, much longer than guitars have even existed. You play country, ask a fiddle player. If you need to tape your bridge, you strum too hard.

Undervalued guitar

By CJ Baker

from Howell, MI

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Series AF75TDGIV Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

This guitar is very well designed and crafted. Finish is excellent and the hardware is first rate as well. I compared it to the more famous names only to find their idea of bridge support was a stick hot glued between the top and back of the guitar. A stick! For five times the price. Hum. I did find since I'm a rhythm guitarist that jazz strings (light) with a wound "G" string are helpful keeping it in tune. Also, double sided tape under the bridge keeps that piece from moving. I would recommend this guitar to all who can't afford a Country Gentleman.

Awesome axe!!!

Comments about Ibanez Artcore Series AF75TDGIV Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I just got this guitar a few days ago and I must say it is a stunning guitar. It's even more beautiful in person than in pictures. It's got a very classy look to it. Playability is incredible. I was tearing it up right away with ease it plays so smoothly. It's so much fun to play. Sound is great, and so much better than you'd expect from an axe at this price. I did compare the artcores to the Gibson equivilant in a guitar store one day and without a doubt the Ibanez Artcores sounded and played better than the Gibsons (which cost 3 times as much as an artcore) hands down. Great axe, buy it! You'll love it !
