December 2008, I bought an AF75 red sunburst. The action is reasonably soft with a good set-up. No fret buzz or lame tuner issues. Ibanez does have good quality on this basic hollow body with clean sound holes and attractive binding. I have not made the pickguard "rattle" as some heavy action players have. Although the AF75 can support most any kind of amp or pedal, it's not for beating on it. It's good for surf, rock, fingerstyle, and with lighter gauge strings can bend for blues and slide for heavier bar chord sounds. The humbuckers are solid and the wiring doesn't show through the soundholes, like some hollow types. The price is very reasonable. I am satisfied.

Just a fine, fine jazz guitar. Fit, finish, stable and slick neck. Unless you're buying your Gibson or Guild to pamper your ego, then this is really all you need for some serious, serious jazz. I own the red sunburst--people comment on its appearance, and then the TONE, all the time.

I have this guitar since one year now. This is a very easy playable archtop. Fine action. I changed the pickups for Gibson 57 and this guitar is now my prefered. The original Ibanez pickups are so so. With the 57, the tone is perfect. A great guitar

I recently received one of these, a blue one, as a gift (believe it or not). I've played strats and teles all my life and I play strats onstage, and have never owned a hollowbody of any kind before. This guitar is beautiful and it plays like a dream. The day I got it I got home from a gig and sat on my porch until five in the morning playing it. I couldn't put it down. Last night I played it onstage for the first time on one song (a version one of my bands does of the song Riders On The Storm) and it sounded great. It won't replace my strats for most of what I do, but I will use it on select things. I've read where some think the pickups are a little weak, but it wasn't noticable through my system; I thought the output level was pretty much in line with my strats. I was also lucky that the music store it was purchased from has their tech set up all their guitars before they go out on the floor. My only problem so far is I can't figure out a place to stick my pick when I play with my fingers. I guess I'll just have to work that one out. Truely a gorgeous instrument.

If the Chinese keep this up there will soon be only one reason to buy a Gibson- a need to blow money. True the instrument does not come equipped with high end hardware, but the craftsmanship is shockingly good for the price. The set up was not so good, but once I tweaked the truss rod and set the string height and intonation on the archtop bridge the guitar played perfectly. I would probably put some better tuning machines on at some point, but they are still OK. As far as the electronics, personally I like the stock pick-ups. The guitar has that bell-like tone that I like. It is a matter of taste. This guitar is a thing of beauty, flawless, light and strong. But, like going for therapy, some people just won't appreciate it if it doesn't have a high price tag.

I bought this model as soon as they were available. This is a very well made and very affordable jazz box. The only imperfections are the pickups, a little weak.Playability out of the box is excellent. However, you might prefer heavier gauges. If you replace the pickups you just might get a high dollar Gibson sound. It is that good. I suggest that you let it acclimatize to your area by letting it rest on a guitar stand for about 6 months, before storing in its case after each use.Mine sounded better after this procedure.

This is an awesome-looking guitar. It's extremely well-made with great attention to finer details in the fit and finish. You can get some great jazz, blues, and 50s/60s-style rock tones out of this guitar. I swapped the cheap Ibanez pickups for better quality, and may also get some better tuners, but as it stands, this is a great guitar for the price!

I am a Jazz player and bought this and did some adjusting to the string height, put some 11's on it, and it sounds like it costs a lot more. I have gotten a whole lot of compliments on it. It's a great deal. Buy it!

I purchased this guitar because I was looking for an affordable hollowbody. I automatically fell in love. It stays in tune very, very well. The electronics work perfect and it sounds amazing for lead or rhythm. The Trans-orange finish is beautiful, as is the whole guitar. I can't stop thinking about how sweet it is. Buy this hollow body!!!!
