Built to bring the audience to its feet!

The Ibanez AEG20E is an acoustic-electric guitar with a slim neck, feedback-resistant body, warm resonant tones, and a gorgeous flamed sycamore top that make it a fine live-performance guitar. Making the AEG20E even more live-performance-friendly are the Ibanez guitar's onboard chromatic tuner and balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs.

The beautifully inlaid headstock and rosette add flash that'll really register under stage lights. The Ibanez AEG20E is a sweet guitar to look at and to listen to with a price that belies its refinement.

Sweet as Honey

Comments about Ibanez AEG20E Flamed Sycamore Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Let's face it. Every once in a while, that "special one" just comes along and BAM! - you know you gotta have it. That's how you feel when you get this thing in your hands. We all know that for the most part, Ibanez makes some of the best production guitars out there today. The AEG20E is one of their finest available. Comfortable thinline body. Great electronics and a neck that feels great in the hands. Add to that great craftsmanship and a beautiful finish to the flamed sycamore top, and you have yourself one of the best deals out there. Pick one up before they're all gone - you won't be disapppointed.

Comments about Ibanez AEG20E Flamed Sycamore Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

My Ibanez AEG20E came right on time as promised, no hassles. When I opened the box I WAS SURPRISED! The pictures do not do it justice. Ibanez has made a beautiful work of art. You are almost afraid to pick it up, you're thinking to yourself , they must have made a mistake this is a $2000 guitar! It sounds like one too!! way to go ibanez and music123.

Ibanez AEG20E

Comments about Ibanez AEG20E Flamed Sycamore Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

My daughter bought this guitar for me for Christmas..I didn't know what to expect from a Sycamore top guitar. Believe me...I love the tone. I have played for over 40 years and my usual instrument in a Martin DVM. This Ibanez looks great, has good frets, a comfortiable neck, and the tone is beautiful. It also shines when you plug it into mixing board. The fishman does a great job. Well worth the money. The Ibanez case is Junk though. Looking into finding a case to fir the AEG20E.

Best in its class and price

By Haani R. Nowilaty

Comments about Ibanez AEG20E Flamed Sycamore Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I've been heavily involved with guitars since 1972 at age 11. Through the 80's I was a fulltime professional touring musician. I have also done my share of guitar repair and construction. In my 37 years of playing and working on guitars I've owned, worked on and tinkered with Fenders, Gibsons, BC Richs, Gretches, Martin's, Ovations, Taylors and others. All of them fine guitars, each of them unique in its own way, each with its own voice and special attributes. As a musician, I have always maintained that a very fine multi thousand dollar instrument is certainly special, but my true admiration will always go to those who can deliver a quality, durable and dependable instrument on a working musician's budget. Ibanez, once again I salute your designers and manufacturing wizards. If you are looking for an outstanding "thinner" acoustic/electric that is versatile enough to use for a variety of styles, sweet in tone, sized and sleek enough to handle like an electric, solid enough to play out every night, and pretty enough to hold your eye's attention (and the attention of your audience) every time you look at it, this is such an instrument, and here's why. The guitar is manufactured to very high specs usually found in much pricier instruments. Real attention has been paid to the subtle details that make a guitar truly special such as choice of woods, orientation of grain, hardware, electronics and inlay quality, and cleanliness of finish, assembly and fittings. The flamed Sycamore top wood is truly spectacular; a true joy to behold, especially if like me you are a big fan of highly figured or exotic wood tops. The maple back and sides provide the necessary structural strength while enhancing the overall look and feel, and the inlays and rosette are a perfect compliment to the very, very sexy color scheme. I believe this design combination is one that has grown from the maturity that comes from Ibanez being one of the most design and functionality conscious and versatile guitar manufacturers. The electronics are also outstanding, offering multiple output options (Standard 1/4" + Balanced XLR) and the onboard EQ/Tuner is straight forward, accurate, LED based and very practical, especially on dark stages. The action and feel has to be one of the best "right out of the box". However, being a practiced luthiere, and always wanting all my guitars at my personal tip-top performance standards, I have adjusted the bridge slightly to facilitate smoother faster Jazz soloing lines and tones. But no matter your style, this thing plays really, really well. Finally the tone, whether plugged or unplugged must be heard to be believed! It is resonant and clear, with some notes having an intrinsic bell-like quality. I don't know how it happened, but after the minor bridge adjustment the guitar morphed from an outstanding acoustic/electric into a Gypsy Swing Jazz monster. For those of you familiar with the traditional guitars of that style, and how unbelievably special and expensive they are, that is just a gift from heaven, and the primary reason why I sat down to write this review. I presently own over a dozen electric and acoustic guitars. I bought this guitar on a whim being a big fan of Ibanez in general, intending to check it out, play it a while then hand it down to my 11 year old son who is starting his own musical journey. Sorry little dude, but I'm keeping this one; I'll buy you another for your birthday this summer; I promise. If you are in the market for an outstanding acoustic/electric then I strongly recommend that you buy yourself one of these. Take my word of almost 40 years of guitar experience. You will certainly never regret it. Thank you for reading.

Amazing sound and looks

Comments about Ibanez AEG20E Flamed Sycamore Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar is a dream. It sounds amazing with the strings right out of the box. The built-in guitar tuner is sweet too. I haven't plugged it in yet, but unplugged I haven't heard much better, especially in the price range.
