Comments about Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Studio EC Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
I have been researching and playing many guitars over the past several years, but after laying my hands on a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe I knew I had to have one. Originally I was interested only in the regular full dreadnaught, but once I caught a glimpse of the cutaway version the fight was over. I find it hard to spend $2000 on a guitar, but with these ingredients (see the product description) its hard to beat a deal like this. The sound is tremendous - low lows, brilliant highs and perfectly balanced with the light strings (12's). The feel is perfect - neck plays like a dream and the slightly smaller dreadnaught body fits perfectly under your arm. It is a bit heavier than the similar Martins, but that just makes it feel like it will last more than a lifetime. And the look - these guitars should be outlawed they are so sexy!! Not overly adorned with glitter, but just enough to make it one of the most attractive acoustics out there. The Gibson Songwriter Deluxe definitely delivers in all aspects. If you have the opportunity I would encourage you to play one before purchasing ANY other brand!!
