Gibson 335 Figured Gloss Finish

By Gerald Alatalo

from Anchorage, Alaska

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured-Top Electric Guitar with Gloss Finish:

I bought my first Gibi 335 in 1967. It was a sweet guitar with a fantastic slim neck, harmonic tones and great playability! As a teen, I sure sounded good on stage and received many compliments. It was my dream guitar!! Now, all these years later, I have purchased my second Gibi 335 with the beautifully figured top. While I really miss my original, my new 335 is just as sweet sounding, and I think better looking, with the gorgous top and highly glossed finish, now available in more colors. And, that fabulous resinant tone, is still part of the great 335 design. Even though the years have passed and my hair has thinned and greyed, I sound better than ever on stage and still get those compliments thanx to my new 335, a design of awsome quality that has stood the test of time!!

Gibson Custom ES-335 Dot with Gloss Finish - My Electric Ax of Choice

By Ron R

from Undisclosed

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured-Top Electric Guitar with Gloss Finish:

Had one of these back in jr. high school (1968) and sold it. :-( Thought that I had redeemed myself when I later purchased a Les Paul, but the 335 has a distinctive sound all its own (those Classic 57 humbuckers and the construction of the guitar). Was in a music store one day, picked one up and played it, and the romance returned. Had to buy one. This is now my electric ax of choice. This is the best all-around guitar made. It does blues, jazz, rock, soft, hard, anything. If I could have only one electric guitar, this would be it. And if you have more than one guitar, you must have this guitar's distinctive sound. Gloss finish makes it look very classy. Also nice, the new Custom Shop cases have an inside top cover to put over the guitar before you close the case. Top shelf, all the way. Well worth the investment.

Retired my old 335 and replaced with a new 335

By Larry Smith

from S.E. Michigan

Comments about Gibson ES-335 Dot Figured-Top Electric Guitar with Gloss Finish:

I retired my older 335 as it is gaining in value and no longer do I want to take it out on jobs where it is subject to damage. So I purchased this 335 DOT with figured maple and it plays and looks great. Being new, it does feel a little different than my old 335 which has given me 29+ years of unfailing service. The fit and finish of the new 335 is gets top marks. The neck did need adjustment which is expectted of all new guitars. Everyone has their own set preferences and fortunately I know how to set my own guitars up so I did not have to take it any where and let someone else work on it. The guitar sounds great straight into my amps,( Fender, Marshall and Peavey), and it sounds great through my processor. This is truely a do all guitar. I play CW to Rock to blues to R&B and this axe can do it all. This is a great instrument, both in playability and value. With the price of quality instruments going through the roof I would recommend that if you can afford one now to do so, you will not regret the purchase. Play the best - Gibson American made Quality Instruments!
