Better than a Hummingbird
Comments about Gibson Blues King Acoustic Guitar:
I myself have several guitars (mostly classical and acoustic), but none of them can quite outweigh the punch of this Bluesking. (BluesQueen in my case, I called her Ella) This baby has a sweet small body, thin neck and great handling, which made it easier to for me to learn new techniques and play on it for hours at a time writing songs. My sweetheart is a vintage guitar, seeing she's had her twentieth birthday quite a while ago! (keeps getting better and better) I can honestly say it's a worthy investment.Although some people would call me rather young and unexperienced, I've been playing since I was six years old, and I have tried out numerous guitars. On this note, let me tell you this: I was saving up to buy a beautiful Gibson Hummingbird. But when I got to the shop, I tried it, and eventually decided not to buy this alltime classic. It just doesn't have the same punch! I think this is a great way to express just how great this guitar is. So please, do not hesitate: the Bluesking is an absolute must-have.

Great guitar for blues players
Comments about Gibson Blues King Acoustic Guitar:
Best low end available. Nice slim neck and great projection. I've had mine for two years now, and it's sounding even better as it ages. A keeper

Not sweet, but hot as hell
Comments about Gibson Blues King Acoustic Guitar:
This is a blues guitar that sounds like its coming from deep down somewhere in history, and easily carries its picker away on a time ride. stripped from all the sweetness you find in most accustics, its focused, loud and clear for such a relatively small instrument. Only bad thing- cant get no case for it-- gigbag made in China...

delta and more
Comments about Gibson Blues King Acoustic Guitar:
This guitar captures that Delta tone very well. The no-frills appearance is also in line with the original country bluesmen's style...many of whom played bottom of the line instruments. Somehow this guitar creates a hint of natural crunch in strongly strummed or finger-picked passages. Nothing better for acoustic blues than this baby. I bought a Martin 000-15S around the same time. It is wonderful too, but a little too "sweet" for the nasty blues I pick.
