TONE YES! QUALITY NO
Comments about Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH Electric Guitar:
I bought it here and got a great price and fast shipping. The tones in this guitar are not typical Fender anything. They were wonderful and unique. Spanking clean and pure chime with the tap engaged. Meaty and strong in HB mode, though just a little bright, nice. But that is where the praise ends. It is made in Indo. It had a really bad fret job that would have required professional attention. BUZZED! On all most every note. A waste of time unplugged and came thru the amp plugged in. Shame, could be a really nice guitar. Should make this in the USA, I would have paid twice what I did to get this model quality made! Sending it back.

Solid Guitar
Comments about Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH Electric Guitar:
The spalted maple is a beautiful and unique finish to Fender's classic Telecaster. This model differs from the average Tele not only aesthetically, but also in the pick-ups. Fender added some sweet humbuckers on this guitar, providing a versatile, unique sounding Fender. This guitar is slightly less beautiful than the photo portrays. Don't get me wrong, I love the raw wood grain finish, but the guitar is very glossy, and the contrast between the cream stripe and maple is not as noticeable as shown. Also, the two knobs are cheap looking chrome, I would prefer black to match the humbuckers. Sound wise, you will not regret this purchase. Great action, unique sound. This is not your average Tele. Show it off with pride.

Love this guitar
Comments about Fender Special Edition Custom Telecaster Spalted Maple HH Electric Guitar:
I play this with minor adjustment from the facory setup because of the 10s I play. Great guitar, I always get lot of compliments on it. It sounds great through my Peavey Classic 30 head and all Vintage 30 4x12. The SPL drops off a little when you go to the single coil tap but that should be expected. The single coil tone is more like a strat than a tele to me though. I'm a Strat player otherwise so maybe thats why I think that. The sound is very chimey though so I'm not complainiing a bit. Like I said - Love this guitar.
