Add fat to your Tele twang with a beefy neck-position humbucker.

The Fender '72 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar is a versatile tone machine. 1972 was a magical year for the Telecaster, as the venerable design spawned options and new designs left and right. The Custom took a classic alder body and added a C-shape maple neck, bullet truss rod, vintage string-thru Tele bridge and 3-bolt neckplate brought to life by a Wide Range humbucking neck pickup and a traditional single-coil bridge pickup. Controls include 2 volume and 2 tone knobs plus a 3-way toggle switch. Black/white/black pickguard.

Includes a gig bag.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Nice Guitar

By SC Flash

Comments about Fender Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

I received the guitar in the mail and played it at a job the next day. It seems to be a good Mexican guitar. The sound came through strong and the Humbucker gives it a distinct, chunky sound. It is not as heavy as my American Tele. I lowered the action which is no big deal. I am happy with this guitr for the price. It came in a well padded Fender gig bag. I bought a guitar case but I believe the bag would handle the job.

My Black Beauty

Comments about Fender Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

I've had this guitar for 5 years and I am still very pleased. It has great sound, feel and flexibility. I play blues, jazz, and rock, but mostly gospel at church. I can use this guitar to flow with the keyboard and drum so easily. It can be mellow or hard crunching whatever the venue calls for. I've played acoustic guitar for over 20 years and only dabbled in electric guitars here and there. My black tele is my first really decent electric guitar and I couldn't be happier.

72 Tele Re-issue

By John-mTL0.

Comments about Fender Classic Series '72 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar:

This is now my go to guitar. It plays great. Has great tone. The neck seems to have a bit more arch than newer models. I'm not real fond of the tuners. I may replace them. I bought the black one. I think it is beautiful.
