this guitar is amazing!

By robert mackowiak

from chicago illinois

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is simply amazing! This guitar was sitting in my local music store for 2 years before I eventually purchased it. It's the greatest guitar I've ever played, and I've played on alot. To get the best sound out of this guitar, you have to set the action high, replacing the strings with heavier strings (between a .011-.013 guage). This guitar has an awesome classic rock sound to it. Add a crybaby wah pedal and you can get the tones that hendrix got on "Voodoo Chile," and on "Burning of the Midnight Lamp." It's simply awsome! I would totally recommend this guitar to any serious musician who plays awesome music.

this is simply amazing! this guitar was sitting in my local muic store for 2 years before i finally broke down and bought it. it is the greatest gitar i have ever played, and ive played alot of guitars. to get the best sound outta tis guitar, u have to set the action high, and put heavy string outta this, anything between .011-.013 guage. it has an awsome classic rock tone to it. w/ a crybaby wah, it can get the tones that hendrix got on "voodoo chile" and "burning of the midnight lamp". simply awsome. it also comes fairly close to getting those stevie ray vaughan sounds from "pride and joy" and "texas flood". i would totally recommend yhis guitar to any serious musician who plays awsome music, like the stuff i mentioned.

FIESTA RED MODEL

By Ade

from UK

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Anyone who ever wanted a Fender Stratocaster in the UK during the 60's would have chosen the Fiesta Red, maple neck tremolo model. The import ban almost made it impossible to get one unless you were able to order direct from the Fender factory and not many people in the UK new of that!Today the Mexican 50's Stratocaster has all the features of this early made guitar and they are brilliant. I bought mine from the music store without even trying it as it looked the business and I could see that it was very well made and looked ready to go in fact it required no adjustment to play it immediately, it's perfect!I've now had a chance to play it at home and it has all those characteristic Fender sounds that we love to hear in a Stratocaster from the staggered alnico pick ups. The five way switch ensures we get perfect pick up combinations with those unique sounds emanating from the use of two pick ups together. The tremolo floats well and is a joy to handle again no adjustments required here either. The one piece 21 fret maple neck with the vintage look and correct headstock logo for the period lets you know you have an excellent replica of Leo Fender's masterpiece. I can't fault this instrument and there's more in store. Fender have got it right even down to the embossed Fender stamped bridge saddles and aged look parts and Kluson style vintage tuners. What more do you require from a Stratocaster? The finish is a lovely shade of Fiesta red and highly polished. The headstock has the single string tree keeping the vintage look about it and even the truss rod neck skunk stripe is there. The soft V neck makes playing very comfortable. I looked at this guitar hanging on the shop wall and took it to the sales counter immediately! Check out the Fiesta red model yourself, you won't be disappointed as it could easily cost a lot more. It's a pro guitar at an affordable price. I am thinking of buying another! A tweed case would complete the 50's look! I'd give this guitar 10 stars but 5 is your maximum!

It's Cute And It Rips

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I wasn't interested in looking or sounding like the dude outta Green Day, and I didn't want a guitar that limited my tonal options in any way. Fortunately I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did, because this guitar rocks. My main influences in wanting to get a Strat were Wayne Kramer from the MC5 and Buddy Holly. If you combine those two, you'll get an idea of what my music sounds like. I was also very excited by the visual appeal of a guy like Johnny Meeks from Gene Vincent's band. But I wanted the guitar to ROCK. Yes this guitar sounds different that an axe with humbuckers when you use distortion. It's much more woody and natural and you can hear the tone of the guitar through the distortion, which is what I wanted. It sounds great clean or distorted. The action and neck are awesome and the tonal variety is staggering, and yeah, it's cool looking, VERY. It takes more to overdrive it than my Gretsch or my Gibson, but the tone is superior, once you get it to overdrive.I recommend it, it's a beautiful guitar. I have a hard time putting it down.

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I am a proud owner of this guitar, and every time I pick it up I am amazed! This one of Fenders best. The only set back is depending on your opinion on pick ups u may be impressed, maybe not, the pick ups in this guitar are exactly this, a upgrade from Tex Mex pickups. Anyway if u like Punk, Hard rock not to mention Blues, this is your guitar.

By Steph

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

My surf green 50's strat is my second guitar, my first electric, and I love it. I've been dying to get my hands on an electric. I just got this guitar a few weeks ago and I can't put it down. I love the color, great sound, great action, and it slides very nicely. I would recommended this amazing guitar to anyone.

Great guitar for the price

By BiggieB

from Oklahoma

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This is one of the better buys in the popular Fender lineup. Although it is not made in the United States, quality is first rate. It is made in the Fender assembly plant in Mexico. I also own another Mexican Strat, a 70's reissue, which I also highly recommend. Both play extremely well, are set up nicely out of the box, and have a beautiful fit and finish. If it wasn't for the "Made In Mexico" stamp on the back of the headstock, I don't really think anyone would think that these guitars were not U.S. made. The pickups have that vintage sound, and the intonation on both of my Strats is dead on. Spend more money on the U.S. models if you wish, but you won't necessarily find a better made Strat than these. I took the money I've saved and purchased a vintage reissue Fender amplifier. The combo sounds great!

Sweet Guitar

By Big Hoss

from Minneapolis

Comments about Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

The guy who said this guitar "frets out" your guitar needs to be set-up. I can make her sing all the way up to the last fret, she never "fretted out" on me. Just for kicks, I am going to play some Van Halen on it.
