The Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster Special is an electric guitar that updates Fender's iconic Jazzmaster model with some thoroughly modern improvements: Hotter pickups, a redesigned Adjusto-Matic bridge with floating tremolo tailpiece, a 9.5" fingerboard radius and an improved neck pocket with increased back-angle for improved stability and sustain. The Classic PlayerJazzmaster guitar's tremolo plate has been moved closer to the bridge to increase break angle and sustain. A screw-in tremolo arm increases stability and control when "twang-dipping".

I got the Classic Player Jazzmaster last year, and wanted it for months before hand. I wanted a Fender with single coils, and after lots of research, found this. It can get many sounds, and can be used in ANY genre. The neck pickup is capable of P-90 LP tone, while the middle and lead positions are quite treble-y. The Jazz circuit is the most overlooked part of the guitar, but I use it for E-bow, metal, and experimental sounds. It really sounds like a Jazz Hollowbody! The finish is perfect (I have the sunburst), while the other cosmetics (aged knobs/pickup covers) make you think it has been under a surfer's bed for fifty years. In the end, it is a durable, great sounding guitar.

Instrument is a lot nicer in my opinion than CIJ type for one bridge is different and also hotter picups make it sound better than The Japanese Model I've had several Jazzmaster's and this is one of the best Ive had yet
