The Classic Player '50s Stratocaster guitar features an alder body, a maple neck with a 9.5" radius, 21 medium jumbo frets and Gotoh vintage-style locking tuning machines. 57/62 vintage-style single-coil pickups (reverse wound/reverse polarity middle pickup) with a 5-way switch and custom pickup switching offer distinct voicings, The electric guitar's custom 2-point vintage-style tremolo along with the Gotoh tuners let you whammy wildly while locking in your intonation.

When i received this guitar, it was the most comfortable guitar i have ever played. It sounds awesome, and all of the pick-up's sound great. It is mexican made, which shouldn't matter because it plays just as well or even better than any american strat. There is no downside to this guitar!

I'd been searching for a guitar with a broad range. I wanted super thin tele twang that would get fat. I wanted good mids and bass tone. I wanted clean like a saint and dirty distorted like a devil that I could whammy. My work was cut out for me. I have owned a Fender American Deluxe and have played other mexicans and even the new highway one. One day, I was online searching thru some spec sheets and there it was: the Fender Classic Player 50's strat! I ran over to the guitar shop and bought it on the spot. Here's the deal: the fit and finish are excellent (a Fender American equal); the neck has a soft v that fits my large hands; the tone is very versatile via the special wiring that can tweak the pickup combinations via both tone knobs in the 2nd & 4th pos and also in pos it handles all styles of music (I run it thru a Class A 15w). My holy grail. It even has a Custom Shop neck plate. Baby...they rocked the house makin' this one.
