Great guitar for a great price!
Comments about Fender CD140SCE Acoustic-Electric Guitar:
With the current $25 off regular price ($299) you won't find a better new acoustic electric guitar for the money! I tried every guitar in this price range before settling on this one, the solid spruce top provides a better sound than any of the laminated top guitars at this price.
I would not recommend this guitar to beginners or fingerpickers because the neck is very thin and narrow - perfect for those who like a thin (think Strat) electric neck.Electronics provide nice crisp clear sound when amped. The black does show fingerprints, but looks great. The sound from this guitar, acoustically, is fuller than the Fender Sonoran, and Yamaha,Takamine and Ibanez guitars of the same price, and only the Epiphone AJ220 had comparable sound - I might have bought one of those if I hadn't got a deal on one of these used for $100 off of new price.Just so you know my experience in submitting this review, I have been playing guitar for over 40 years, have lots of guitars, everything from a Chinese Strat-clone to a 72 Tele worth fairly big bucks, and my 'go to' acoustic for a long time has been a 73 Epiphone which I can at last retire to the studio.
