Designed to meet the demands of Beck's virtuosity.

The Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar from Fender's Artist Series reflects the significant changes Jeff made in his Strat to accommodate his constantly evolving style. The new neck is a softer C-shape, not as large or deep as Jeff's previous choice. Also, the guitar features the new Fender special-design dual-coil ceramic Noiseless pickups, a contoured heel for easier access to the higher registers, and straight-ahead Strat 5-way switching. Made in the U.S.

Signature Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster

from Undisclosed

Comments about Fender Artist Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased my Jeff Beck Signature Strat about 6 months ago.
I have been playing guitar for about 45 years and have always been a Gibson fan.
I also own a '78 Les Paul Custom which I purchased new in '78. For years that was my #1 guitar.
The playabilty and sound of the LP is and always will be unique like no other. At least that's what I thought until I played the JB signature Strat.
Now, I must say, the JB Strat is my #1 guitar for the following reasons:
1. Weight... My LP weighs about 11.5 lbs.; the Strat weighs about 8.1 lbs. which I never even considered when I was playing the LP but what a difference it makes on your shoulder after playing for 3-4 hours!
2. I have owned Strats from my very first which was purchased in 1967 to 3 or 4 others after that.
The JB Strat is phenominal! The pickups are dual coil ceramic noiseless vs. the standard single coil pups found on most stock Strats. With the 5-way switch and dual tone controls you can achieve a multitude of tonal variety.
3. One feature which I really like is the way the neck has a contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets making the highest frets a breeze to reach.
4. The Olympic white color, alder body & urethane finish make for a simply beautiful appearance.
5. The soft-C-shaped maple neck with rose wood fret board and medium-jumbo frets is more comfortable to play than the previous JB Strat which had the "baseball bat" neck which, for me, is a plus.
6. If you play Jeff Beck style you bend the strings like crazy and use the tremolo bar quite a bit. Staying in tune is not a problem with the stainless steel LSR roller nut, the Fender/Schallerlocking tuners and the two-point floating vibrato with stainless steel saddles which provide virtually friction-free operation.7. All in all this guitar is finely crafted which allows for amazing playability and amazing tonal variety. By the way the guitar comes with a beautiful vintage tweed case which fits the guitar perfectly.Point of fact: I mostly play through a Blackface Twin Reverb which is equipped with (2) JBL E-120's. I can get clean surf sound or a nice dark crunchy sound when necessary.I also use the Proco Rat distortion pedal when I want to add even more crunch/distortion to my sound. For a few dollars more than the American Standard Strat I feel it was money well spent and will afford me many more years of playing pleasure. Now if I could only play as well as Mr. Beck........

It's the tone...

Comments about Fender Artist Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

Let's face it. Buying a guitar is a very personal decision. There is something about the entire purchasing experience that Fender has learned to cater to.Let's use the Jeff Beck Strat for example. Very simply, it is one of the finest guitars out there. I have a Deluxe American Fat Strat and a American Deluxe Telecaster. This sits proudly next to these great guitars.I don't want to put any guitar dealers out of business, but if you want to buy this guitar, order it online or direct from the dealer. Never buy the one at the store. Too many wanna-be's have handled your guitar (at $1320) and end up purchasing a Squier Starter Kit for $200.You see, Fender is producing this guitar at a in-stock rate, meaning that dealer's orders are filled fast if they are out of stock. Since producing the guitar at a higher rate than, let say a '60's Relic, this reduces the cost to Fender. With that said, you are getting a collector's item guitar at a great price. The best thing about this is that Jeff Beck Strat comes with the Vintage Tweed Case. Now, if Fender wanted to cut corners because the guitar was too expensive, they would give you a standard molded case worth about $40.00.This guitar sounds and feels so good, I can't stop playing it. I am proud to own a Tweed Case that all my Fender Guitars fit in.

Love at First Sight

Comments about Fender Artist Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I purchased this sweet lady 5 days ago, and I believe I made a great choice. I have played this guitar at a couple of different guitar stores since last year, and all I can tell you is this guitar has great tones. What a beautiful tone she gives in the neck positions! You become one with her as you put your fingers on its very well designed, almost flawless fretboard. Locking machine heads are a great plus, makes you free to bend even two tones but still in tune. This is my 3rd Fender: First was a Big Apple (2 seymour duncan humbucker), second was an American Deluxe Fat Strat (1-humbucker, two single coil noiseless). This one has the most beautiful clean tone of all I had. Within the same price range, there are Eric Clapton and SRV models which I had been playing everytime I've been going to a guitar store, but I feel that this one has the most versatility and beautiful tones. If you cannot live without heavy distortion, I don't think this is "the one" for you. Don't get me wrong, it sounds great in distortion , but definitely not to play heavy metal stuff. But hey, if you are reading this, you are probably not interested in that stuff anyway. I don't want to overdose your expectations, it's a guitar in the end. You are the one who's going to make your instrument special for you, by spending more time with it. Finally, if you are planning to buy this guitar, I would definitely recommend it.

Comments about Fender Artist Series Jeff Beck Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is great. The new pickups (not currently on any other Fender model) are unbelievable. If you're after super-twang, you may not like them, but if you want the Fender sound with just a little extra midrange meat and a lot more output, this is the one. This is the first Strat I've played that I can actually see myself using the middle pickup by itself. This is a great guitar.
