A Blast from the Past
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
Owning a '52 Telecaster has always been a dream of mine. Owning an American Vintage 52 reissue is the next best thing. I love this guitar. It has more twang for the buck than any other guitar I have owned before (including a '62 Tele reissue). The quality and finish are outstanding - a testimony to "Made in the USA" workmanship. If you are looking for a classic electric guitar with all the tone in the world, this is it!

Awesome looks and sound
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I bought the 52 reissue, because I saw a Roy Buchanan PBS special about 35 years ago. I was so impressed with what he could do with a simple tele, that the butterscotch blonde with a black pickgaurd got burned into my brain. After trying buying many other guitars, Les Pauls, Strats, Taylors etc., I finally bought the 52 reissue. I don't know why I wasted my time with the other guitars. This guitar has sound to the max, plays easily and was the guitar used on so many rock and country hits that nothing else comes close. It doesn't have fancy pearl inlays, but it's got all you need to get a great sound.

Simply Perfect
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
Leo Fender had it perfect in 1952, and the Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster nails it. Everything from the thick U-shaped neck to the brass saddle bridge, to the sweet tone of the American vintage Tele pickups just oozes vintage Tele vibe. The quality and feel of this regular U.S. made Fender is on par with or exceeds other manufacturer's custom shop instruments. Convert to the modern 3-way switching, and it's amazing how versatile 2 single coil pickups and 2 knobs can be. Plug this straight into a Fender blackface or tweed amp and it doesn't get any better!

bad to the bone
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I received the fender deluxe ash telecaster in November 2005. I used it for a couple of months before bringing it in for a professional set-up. my luthier noticed that the neck was shrunk and the frests sticking out the sides. I had noticed this myself, but I never owned a fender. Also, one of the little bridge saddle springs was not set in all the way.I returned the product with gold coverage. I have had at least four dates of the product coming into musician's friends. It will be about five weeks if I am lucky before I get the guitar back. Also, they had no problem accepting my father's credit card from me (I expressed this to the salesperson as I do every salesperson), however, now that I asked for a different guitar, they had a problem. Apparently, they broke federal law according to J. J stated I broke federal law. I stated that I was authorized to use that card. I had my father call in but she would not speak with him. I called again because my father is elderly and sick and he didn't have quite have the cohesive story for me to know what was going on. I called and hesitatingly spoke with M. M tried to straighten things out, he even broke the law by discussing an account that wasn't mine with me; thereby, violating the policies as discussed by J. I spent 2 and one half hours on the phone. I've never had a problem using my father's credit card; I use it so shipping to his address (safer) isn't a problem.I can't imagine under any circumstances that I would ever do business with musician's friend or any affiliate; they accuse me of violating federal law; which I did not, they violated their own polices however; they send a clearly defective product, and I have no idea if and when I will receive a "good" guitar from them.shame on them. if I ever buy again from them, shame on me.

Brilliant work of art
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
Unless you're green and have been hit by gamma rays this guitar will NOT EVER COME CLOSE to "break[ing] in [your] hands". Yet despite it's obvious toughness and quality, it is in fact, light as a feather. Crazy --- I know. If anything this guitar has been hit by gamma rays because it is truly monstrous in all ways. Beauty. Tone. Craftsmanship. Vibe. Tilt. Playability. You name it. The one draw back is that it is so beautiful that you won't wanna play it for fear of damaging it in any way. But be warned that from it's protective case it will call to you my friend... it will call... and like me, you will answer. We are only human.

I Love my 52'
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I waited 2 months for this guitar to get off the backorder status and it was well worth it. If you love to play country, this guitar is for you. My other guitars are now neglected stepchildren. I am always sneakng upstairs to play her. I put the modern looking bridge on it because I am not a fan on the brass saddles. The neck dark position I feel is useless because it sounds very muted with high bass. The other two positions I absolutely love, so I will keep the vintage wiring. The vintage tint of the neck is what keeps me playing. Sometimes, I like just like pulling up the chair to stare at her. I think I will miss my wife.

great guitar
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
Very good sounding guitar... the three saddle bridge works well and the tone is awesome! The neck, even with a big radius, is quite easy to play and it's finish is very beautiful. Very light indeed ! (Tweed case is heavy !! but soooo cool!)

great guitar but some minor flaws
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
This is a great guitar, the pickups sound amazing, especially the one in the neck. The neck plays like silk, and the look is amazing. The only problem that I have with this (and most fender guitars)is that it is so light!! Now, for most people, this is a good thing, but for myself and many people I know, this is a considerable draw back. Whenever I pick up this guitar, I always feel like it will break in my hands. Thankfully, I don't own this (my friend does) but many people will enjoy this guitar, especially country, jazz and blues players(or anyone who would like to own a peace of history)

An amazing guitar!!
Comments about Fender American Vintage Series '52 Telecaster Electric Guitar:
I just received my '52 Tele and I am amazed by the tone, the flawless craftsmanship. Simply a beautiful instrument. I have a Les Paul, a Strat and a Godin, but this is by far my favorite already. Well worth the money. And Music123 service was incredible.
