fender fsr nitro stratocaster a joke

By wasafenderlover

from Undisclosed

Comments about Fender American Standard FSR "Thin Skin" Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I bought 3 of these from music123. I wondered who they did a nitro series at a low cost in comparison to wildwood or daves.
100% honest-
1- these bodies are 3-4 piece, 2 of mine were 4 piece.
2- the paint is HORRIBLE. Overspray, dust and crap in the paint, so thin the woodgrain is coming through. Had gold overspray on my dakota red, so I guess they painted a candy apple beside it.
3- the necks are crap, and ARE NOT THE NEW BUFFED fingerboards that the other new american standards have. the rosewood looks cheap, feels cheap, and is no comparison to my 2010 american standard buffed neck.

how Fender quality control could let some of this crap out is amazing to me. and really a joke. I called them to complain, and they said return it, and obviously I was going to, but I wanted them to take notice and make a change, as I'm a fender guy and want fender to do well. three different guys, all with the same story- "nitro is difficult to paint, these things happen, sometimes we use 3-4 piece bodies" etc. Never addressing the quality issues, and always making excuses. Disgusting. I'm done with Fender.

Luckily Music123 was great about the returns, and their customer service will have my return business, Fender however has lost a lifetime customer.

Sonic Blue is cool

Comments about Fender American Standard FSR "Thin Skin" Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This is the strat I was waiting for. I always like cool blue colors. Really like the pearloid guard. Thin skin finish. Really lightweight. Plays really nice. These features set it apart from the standard strat which is great in itself. I ordered it the first day it was available. Couldn't wait to get it in mail. This is a keeper.
