Great guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

I would highly recomment this instrument to anyone looking for a quality built Les Paul style guitar. I have tried many Paul's and have never found one that was just right. I can honestly say this ESP fits the bill. I don't notice any lack of tone or sustain due to the thinner slab of mahogany. It may be a touch brighter but only slightly and that is not always a bad thing. So far I've not found anything to gripe about. The finish is great, the fretwork and hardware are top notch and has a great feeling neck and sound soooooo goood!!! Highly recommended. I'm not gonna knock a Paul but I've yet to find one from the factory with any reasonable set up even though I know everyone should do their own anyway. I even checked out some nice PRS Custom 22's and while very nice just no better playing or sounding. Only thing I cans say that they have is a very nice clean sound that is a touch better than others. Buy this ESP, they make very find instruments!!!

Another Great Guitar Available From ESP!

By Mike Caraluzzo

from National Park, New Jersey

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

Well, when I first tried out this guitar, I didn't have much time with it, and absolutly hated it. Then, a few months later I got my hands on one, and something about it just made me wanna have one. These guitars don't feel like any other, and they're about a quarter inch thinner then Les Pauls. The tone of these guitars are incredible, like any other ESP. The guitar has a descent amount of weight to it, with pretty good fret access. I'm not a fan of EMG's, because I think they're to noisy, but this guitar sounds great as soon as you plug it in. You have to play one to know what I'm talking about, but theres a good chance you'll never wanna put it down. I don't see me selling this guitar for quite some time.

Backpedaling

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

I'm sorry. I really slammed this guitar before but I had barely a chance to try it. I love the way it plays like butter, the EMG sound, and the bone nut. The lack of the 24 XJ frets was disheartening but its a small negative in an ocean of positives. Please forgive my speaking without much background.

nice guitar with premium materials

By JC-yuAyT

from Orange County CA

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

I have owned this guitar for 2 days now. Beautiful guitar. Tight hard narrow neck built for speed. Light weight mahogony body and set neck with maple top. Great metal rhythm or lead guitar. I am attempting to find a great jazz tone but what I have dialed in so far is very usable but not perfect. Not as warm as some PAF types. Overall I am really happy with this guitar. It looks bitchen and has premium components. It is a keeper. Although I fantasize about turning it into a LP like jazz guitar with low output passive pickups, this metal machine will stay the way it is. Nearly perfect for metal and hard rock.

Absolutely Amazing!

By Ian

from Arlington, TX

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

All I can say is amazing... I cant help myself from wanting to shred on this guitar non-stop. I have the see-thru black cherry and the finish is amazing. This guitar is better than any other guitar I have, which includes a Les Paul, Soloist, and 6 other high-end Ibanez guitars. No other guitar will ever come up on stage w/ me again. The ONLY complaint I have is that, right out of the box, my low E string had some minor fret buzz... but after a miniscule adjustment to the bridge and re-stringing the guitar, it reached ESP's usually quality: perfect.

RAD

By Matt-w3QjX

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

Simply put the guitar is the best I have ever picked up. Pictures do not do justice for how this guitar actually looks. It is absolutely beautiful!I do have a gripe though. The outlining of the top body sticks out and comes to some what of a dull edge. When you are playing chords your forearm hits this edge which gets quite annoying. I have gotten used to playing it though after about a month. The only other problem I have had is my E string has popped off the bridge in the middle of a set. I play with Not Even Slinky's which could be the reason since they are huge. All and all this guitar rocks and if you have the money I highly recommend it.

Simply great!

By Adam C.

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

This guitar is typical ESP quality. They covered all the details on this guitar, putting more expensive guitar companies to shame. This guitar is very versatile. The neck pickup (EMG-60) produces beautiful cleans, and is also perfect for chugging rhythm lines. The bridge pup (EMG-81) is perfect for lead, with searing endless sustain. This beautiful guitar finish is flawless, and is also very difficult to scratch or dent. It sounded perfect through my Boogie Mark IV stack, but a bit too trebly through my Marshall JCM2000 DSL stack. I tried combining the Marshall head with the Boogie cab, and that also sounded great! If you're looking for a guitar that will be a keeper for the rest of you life, I highly recommend buying this!

Absolutely astonishing!

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

Men, ESP rocks! This guitar is really something.I can't event point out a single drawback. The finish is beautiful (mine is Antique Cherry sunburst),sound ,sustain ,neck , balance everything is ideal. LP fans thought, may fell some lack in weight, but this is this guitar is about light, versatile and with a really mean voice(thanks to EMGs).I think for this price range, it is a best-buy value. I am not sure that I would prefer to have a Gibson LP Standard even for this price instead of this baby.

An outstanding guitar

By Tommy-enu.C

from Norway

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

The first thing I noticed about this guitar is that it looks ten times better in real life than on the picture on this site. The arched top looks really great and the colour is stunning. The guitar has a fast and sleek neck and great action. It's also great for both solos and chords. To sum it up, this is a very good guitar, and the prize is very suitable compared to the quality of the guitar.

Stunning Hard Rocker

By Jammer-UwV6f

from SF Bay Area

Comments about ESP Standard Series Eclipse II:

The moment I picked up this guitar I fell in love with its awesome look and feel. It feels great in my hands and the craftsmanship is excellent. Absolutely flawless. The action is set very low with no fret buzz. I have owned Gibson Les Pauls that have nothing on this guitar in my opinion. It has tons of sustain and the Emg 81s really rip. I checked out the EC 1000 LTD but the eclipse just feels better to me, and should at nearly twice the price. I love this guitar it compares with my USA Jackson Soloist.
