Pretty good guitar

By Feloinus Monk

from Ranburne, AL

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this to have something with a floyd and humbuckers for recording. When it arrived it was in horrible shape. The neck as out, the frets were sharp and filthy, the board was bone dry, and the intonation was waay off. This is due to how it was stored, not a fault of LTD - music123 should do a better job. There is no way a beginner could have played this guitar. None. I almost sent it back. I had to take it apart, completely, for the setup. After a good lube, cleaning and smoothing the fret edges, new strings, etc., I am again impressed with how LTD puts out such great guitars for so little money. The neck is very fast and thin, and the XJ frets make playing easy. The pickups are pretty good stock. They can do hard rock out of the box and can give great cleans. Good blues tones, too. The pots are not the greatest, but they are quiet. The licensed floyd does a great job of staying in tune. The guitar is light and all around easy. My one complaint is that the trem arm will not tighten enough to keep from having a slight wobble. I'm not going to say this is on par with an ESP, but it is a very good guitar with quality more in the $500-$600 range if not for the cheaper pots, etc. I would gig with it and I just might for kicks. For a beginner or intermediate player this will be a good place to start. It's fun if you're looking for something different or want a floyd. If you aren't familiar with these trems get someone to show you how to set them up. I gave it four stars in reference to its price range. I doubt you'll find many this good for the price. I have been playing 25 years and know my way around a guitar so getting it right wasn't a big deal, but a setup is a must.

Great guitar

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I went on a search for a new guitar a month ago. I spent about 2 weeks searching, looking and reading about the guitar models... finally I was just about to purchase an Ibanez, when I found this ESP. This guitar have everything the Ibanez has and MUSIC123 gave me the best price I could find anywere (a lot much better price than the Ibanez). The guitar itself feels very good. The only problem I encountered is that some of the frets are not alligned correctly, but this is normal as they make like 50 guitars per hour (it's made in Indonesia). It's a great guitar for the price and you can make it better by adding new humbuckers (better ones) and adjusting the frets and strings action. This guitar rocks!!

Great starter metal guitar!

By Mr. JAD

from Lynwood (Los Angeles), CA

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Excellent guitar for starters and mid-level enthusiast. Nice crunch and great Floyd-Rose for soloing. I did have a little fret buzz on the G string, but it went away with a few adjustments. If you need a cheap lead guitar with the ESP reputation, this is it!Word of caution for starting guitarist though - make sure you read up on how to change strings on a Floyd-Rose or know someone who is familiar with it. It was my first Floyd-Rose and it was a pain to change strings - but now I have some experience so it's much easier.

Good for the price

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Ok, here we go. Made/assembled in Indonesia(bottom of the assembly line. Right under China). First the paintjob is great! Slick Black and beautiful curves! The Body is heavey and seems hard as a rock(this is good in my opinion). The clear finish on the back of the neck is super! I've had other similar necks and they do not feel nowhere as slick as this! The neck feels like a 16" radius(flat fingerboard). The hardware isn't the greatest. The black finishon the locking nut bolts flake off immediately. There are small imperfections like a tiny scratch at the neck pocket and the volume control is mounted in a slight slanted angle unlike the tone control. The fingerboard on the neck could of been finished better(I'm being picky). For the money it's well worth keeping. I was totally impressed with the setup of the bridge. Most of the time these things are way off and after you tune up and such the tremolo is no where near level with the guitar body making you detune, and play with the tremolo springs for a while. I gave the strings a workout and tuned it up. No adjustments needed.

Truly, truly, awesome!

By AL-08TE0

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this guitar mainly for the price, and because I've spent the past year searching for a axe that could shred, scream, and crunch with intensity. This one is the one. Once hooked in, you can't put it down. This does it all. My more expensive Ibanez is good, but this one is magnificent... a solid monster. I'm almost tempted to buy a 2nd one just so I would have two. I wish I had gotten this before spending all that money three guitars ago. Rock on.

Very good for the money!

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Very nice guitar all around. I replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan trembucker, and it sounds incredible. I get awesome squeals with pick harmonics. The licensed Floyd Rose isn't the greatest one, but it's ok. Very easy to play with a fast neck. Nice finish on this guitar(black). No problems at all. ESP makes good stuff!

WOW!! What a deal!!

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I got the MH-50 non tremolo model for $195.00. I put two DUNCAN DISTORTION pickups in it and WOW. It is the best playing and sounding guitar I've ever owned! I like it better than my friends WOLFGANG guitar, which was $1500.00. I've been playing for 17 years. You will love the feel of this guitar. The ESP humbuckers that come with it are sweet. This is the most amazing guitar I own, and the cheapest!

Ultimate Guitar

By Rocco-0i21.

from Bklyn NEw York

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

Yesterday I received this guitar and It was glorious. I had bought a set of emg pickups 81 85 about a week ago and now finally I can put them on a worthy guitar. The neck is very thin and fast. Great for playing those Metallica ultra fast rhythms. I have been a long time Dean guitar fan and this is my first Esp. I love it.
