The hands-down choice for a first electric guitar.

The ESP LTD Viper-50 Electric Guitar is all about playability. The dual ESP LH-150 pickups buck 60-cycle hum, making them much quieter than single-coil pickups and more powerful. The 24-3/4" scale is slightly shorter than many electric guitars, making for less string tension and easier play. The LTD Viper-50 guitar's basswood body and maple neck with rosewood fretboard promise superb stability and long life.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Comments about ESP LTD Viper-50 Electric Guitar:

I purchased this as a starter guitar from my grandson for Christmas. When I opened the box, I was very impressed with the Silverburst finish. Very well done. The neck was straight and the neck joint was tight. The set up was good, no fret buzz and the intonation was spot on. Hardware seems solid. The pickups have good output. Not the greatest clean tone, but run through my Fender HRD and Epi Valve Jr. head (Mercury Magnetics modded) and cab, it has a great crunchy, distorted tone. Overall, a well made and great sounding guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD Viper-50 Electric Guitar:

This guitar gives some pretty great tones and stays in tune very well for how cheap it is. I personally am a drummer, so I let my guitarist use it. He has had no problems with it whatsoever and it's about 2 or 3 years old now. If you want to learn how to play, but you're more serious than the average person, forgo the cheap bundles and just start here. It will serve you well.
