Comments about ESP LTD Viper-100FM Electric Guitar:
I got mine several months ago and aside from swapping out the stock tuners for a new set of Wilkinsons and also installing a Sprague .047 Orange Cap on the tone pot, this is one hell of a guitar. With the new tuners, it stays in tune forever and the stock LH-150 humbuckers are great not just for Metal , but also can handle Classic Rock and Blues as well. Sure it's a little neck heavy, but all SG design guitars are . Once you get used to that, it's really not a problem at all. The transparent Black finish is quite stunning and once setup properly, the fretboard shouldn't have any fret buzz or neck dips at all. I use this beast all of the time and have gigged with it. I'm 53 years old and have played for over 40 years now and I have to say that this guitar will put any Epiphone and some of Gibson's overpriced stuff to shame.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good beginner guitar
Comments about ESP LTD Viper-100FM Electric Guitar:
It's a good beginner guitar, one of my students has one and it's pretty good. Once you start progressing though you should put better pickups . I recommend EMG active 81/85 pickups to improve your tone if you play metal.

awesome
Comments about ESP LTD Viper-100FM Electric Guitar:
I just got this guitar a few weeks ago and it's been pretty good since then now why it's good well for one it's basically the same as the 200fm, but it just doesn't have the EMG-HZ-H4 humbuckers and it's half the price so if u wanted a good guitar, here ya go! It's perfect for beginners and as they get better you can just have someone at ur local music store install the EMG-HZ-H4 humbuckers and it will be basically the 200fm.It's also a good choice if u like to play harder stuff like metal or hardcore it's humbuckers give it a great crunching sound.
