A sleek design with AAA flamed top and HSH pickups with coil-splitting.
Resembling its larger Les Paul cousin but with more defined curves, the Nighthawk has become a cult favorite since it was discontinued in 1999, after only 6 years in production. The original Gibson Nighthawk was conceived in response to the demand for a more modern silhouette and a multitude of tone options. The Epiphone Nighthawk Electric Guitar features a gorgeous non-arched AAA maple top on a bound, thin-contoured, single-cutaway body and a 22-fret bound rosewood fretboard on a set mahogany neck.
You get an expanded range of tone options with the HSH pickup configuration consisting of a Slant NHT bridge humbucker, NSX single-coil middle pickup, and NHR mini-humbucker along with a 5-way pickup selector and push/pull coil-splitting for the humbuckers.

Comments about Epiphone Nighthawk Electric Guitar:
I missed out on the Gibson model several years ago and always regretted it. This time around, I thought that I would pick up the Epiphone reissue and I am glad that I did. It is just a great guitar. The workmanship is top notch through and through. The finish is nice, the neck is fast, and the frets feel good. The pickups sound great. It has a rosewood fretboard and Grover tuners. It is a beautiful instrument.
I was really pleased that one of the shortcomings of Gibson guitars has been addressed. That is the loss of tone when you roll the volume back on the guitar. The original Gibson Nighthawk that I tried years ago was like that and the volume also varied when you switched back and forth between the pickups. Epiphone addressed both of those issues with this guitar. Thank you!!
I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone. It is the best cross between Gibson and Fender tones that I have seen. It plays great, sounds great, looks great, and it is a great value.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Epiphone Nighthawk Electric Guitar:
Got my Nighthawk Yesterday. You know how it is - you mail order a product and hope you will like it when it shows up. Well it showed up and I can't believe it. I got the Trans Amber and am very impressed how perfect every detail is. The guitar feels good, sounds awesome and looks great.
