Vital mid-'60s SG specs for a screaming low price.
The Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar is a Gibson-authorized version of their great '66 SG with a solid mahogany body and slim-taper set mahogany neck. Some subtle-yet-significant differences make this one special. Instead of the small, lower horn-only pickguard, it has the larger pickguard so there aren't any pickup mounting rings around the high-output Alnico Classic humbuckers (the '66 SG had P-90 pickups). Separate volume and tone controls for each of the pickups give you complete control of your sound. The LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece provide more sustain and make string changing easier. The deep double-cutaway lets you reach all 22 frets with ease.
Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

Sweet Guitar
Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar:
My friend has this guitar and it is awesome. Its humbuckers produce an amazing sound on low notes. The high notes aren't crystal clear, giving them a unique sound. This guitar is 100 times more beautiful than in the picture. Its even good for country.

Wow
Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar:
This is one great guitar. Looks fantastic and plays and sounds beautiful. I played this side by side with the Gibson SG Standard. The Gibson was very nice but simply not worth the extra $$. You can have it all with this one...the looks, the sound and the playabiity...and save all that extra cash. Quality of this guitar is top notch. I like the look of the full pickguard on this "66 Limited Edition better than the half guard on the regular G-400. Except for the headstock, you'd think it was a Gibson SG Standard.

'66 Epi SG Std
Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar:
A lot of guitar for the money. Nice fit & finish, Grover tuners, tune-o-matic bridge, big inlays, and the best neck access in the business. Upgrade the PU's to Duncan a C5/'59N pair or throw in a Phat Cat or two for a P-90 sound, and you sound as good as a Gibson SG. Check out the Duncan User Forum for PU & wiring ideas.

nice.....
Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar:
This guitar is beautiful in person. the pictures make it look cheap. when i took it out of the box i thought they sent me a gibson until i looked at the headstock, its truly that nice looking. as far as the pickups....they do no good for me but i suppose for stock there ok. Anyways, i've always played les paul's and i wanted to try a cheap sg to see if i like the feel of it. I think the neck is too big. its still fun to play, somewhat of a challenge because it really is so much different. Overall its a great guitar and for the price how could you not consider it?

Lovely Guitar
Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition 1966 G-400 Electric Guitar:
I love this guitar! I've had it for a little more than a year and it rocks just as good as the day I got it. The finish is deep & beautiful; the pictures don't do it justice! Much better than the standard G-400 with the half pickguard and plain cherry finish. C-shaped neck is fast and smooth. The pick-ups are alright; some Gibson '57 Classics or such would make it scream, but still good. You get the Gibson look and feel for about $1000 less! Great guitar, now I just need a Les Paul to keep it company!
