I got this guitar weeks ago, switching from the strat, the humbucker pickups really show good tone, yes it might be better with some Seymour Duncans, but the quality of the player and the guitar make this a great guitar to own. I can now get the slash, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Page tone I've been looking for for a great price, with only sacrificing a bolt on neck joint, ant dot, instead of mother of pearl inlays. it is still a beautiful guitar to look at and play, and I'm very satisfied! watch out for your sixth string when you get it, mine broke, and so has many other players.

The one I got as of 04/01/09. It was filled with sawdust in the pickup areas, and every other crevice in the guitar as if they didn't even bother to clean it before painting it. The sawdust was in the pickups when it was delivered. The pickguard was stained obviously from someone with dirty hands assembling it. The guitar isn't bad, but for being made in China, who knows what kind of wood they actually used. It is not worth what it's being sold for by a long shot. I was not happy with this purchase. I'd return it, but I already installed my creepy pewter and restrang it before realizing the scale of all the flaws. The tuners are rickety garbage. Basically this guitar was assembled by people that hate their jobs, by managers and executives that care only about profit.

This was my first guitar and I've had it for a year now. There was a really bad fret buzz on the 6th string and the 6th string tuner had a loose washer that rattled. Oh, and the action was a mile off the fret board. But I love the neck and I think it's gorgeous (Heritage Cherry Sunburst) and it's very comfortable to play. I also own a Gibson Les Paul Faded Special and I grab this one about as often. With the volume and tone controls you can dial in any tone you want from clean (kinda clean) to death metal. Get this guitar, but get a good set up and you'll never outgrow it.

I got this guitar three months ago, and I want to say that it is awesome! The action is great, and the weight is amazing for a Les Paul. This guitar has a lot better sound than a Standard, or even Highway One Strat. As it is, it will play almost any style of music you choose. For the kind of music that I play, the pickups leave something to be desired. I plan on getting a Gibson '57 Classic for the rhythm, and a Dirty Fingers for the bridge. As with all new guitars, you need to replace the strings right away. Unlike other reviews claim, it stays in tune very well. The heritage cherry finish looks even better than the pictures show. The bolt on neck was a bit of a drawback for me at first, but the sustain is still awesome. The best part is the price - at that price you can buy an ENCLPS hardshell case (Epiphone Les Paul case) and not break your budget. All in all, this guitar is great.

This guitar is amazing I admit, I bought one recently. A lot of these people say that this guitar is better than a Gibson...No this is not as good as a Gibson, however it is an amazing guitar it looks great and sounds great for the price, one fault in a lot of Epiphones is the Toggle switch, so watch out for that, yes I would say definitely buy one, but if you can afford a Gibson get one, but for a practice guitar for all you rich people, awesome 5 Stars.Perfect for the price.P.S. sorry about the rambling :)

Picked one of these up recently, got it in red: looks freakin awesome. Pickups are mediocre, and I plan to swap them out when I get some money. But the one problem that most of you that get this guitar will see: the pickup selector is crap, and the tuners are really touchy. This is a great guitar for beginning or intermediate players, but expect to spend money on most of the hardware if you really want this guitar to sound great. overall, a very decent axe though.

Heritage cherry sunburst-better looking than the Picture2.I've accidently hit a table on the tuning pegs (I cant remember what its called...)and it doesn't go out of tune easily!3.Nice switch to change Rhythm and treble4. plays great5.
