The Search Is Over.

The Elite series are instruments that approach custom shop perfection. Crafted with premium woods, fitted with American pickups and circuitry -- even American-made toggle switches and Grover tuners they're made at a special factory devoted to their manufacture where they receive a high degree of hands-on luthier attention. You'll find the Elite 1965 Casino true to the original made famous by The Beatles. A finely crafted, great-sounding, and easy-playing instrument that beautifully blurs the line between Epiphone and Gibson. Elitist 1965 Casino features a rosewood fingerboard, the 1 piece mahogany neck is set at the 19th fret, 22 frets, P-90R (USA Single-Coil) and P-90T (USA Single-Coil) pickups, 2 Volume, 2 Tone, and 3-Way Pickup Selector controls.

Couldnt be better

By

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

I bought this guitar "used" here on Music123, meaning I had to get a guitar repairman to fix one of the pickups. Those costs put together, I still got a ridiculously cheap guitar considering the quality. For me, a guitar doesnt get better than this. Its simple to play, and sounds great. I have wondered why they havent kept making the other Elitist models after 2008 (supposing they are of the same top quality of this one), and my theory is that they are probably too well made. Not that I would be able to see how that could matter, Im sure Gibson (which Im a huge fan of, owning the most wonderful acoustic I can imagine: the Sheryl Crow model, worth every cent) still sell more than enough guitars anyway.

I wouldnt have changed anything on this guitar. The neck is pretty slim, which I have found to be my preference, the tuners are as smooth as butter, the finish is great looking and the tone is very nice, often I just play it acoustic actually. And of course the ES size makes it the perfect guitar to have on your lap when youre sitting in a chair playing, as opposed to smaller guitars.

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

I bought my Casino about 6 or 7 months ago and i love it more than any of my other guitars. It cured me of my obsession with new guitars because I cannot find a better guitar. It stays in tune great and you can get any sound you want, from the blues to hard rock. THe tone, even just acoustic is amazing. I love my Casino!!! And not to mention, IT LOOKS GREAT!

no other guitar can match it

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

The Epiphone Casino Elitist is simply the greatest guitar that could ever be. The finish is outstanding and the parts are the highest quality possible. As soon as you plug it in you hear those great Beatles sounds. Not to mention it's the most versatile guitar ever (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Cream, JET) It stays in tune great and it can not be beat by anything that is offered at this time.

the greatest guitar ever

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

This guitar is simply the best. Don't short change yourself with the cheaper model, the Elitist is the best. The neck is extremely fast-meaning: you can play very fast on it. It's the most versatile guitar ever, Beatles, Cream, JET, The Rolling Stones. Any amount that they ask for is well worth it.

I like it.

By

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

This is my first NEW GTR. PURCHASE in almost forty years of gtr buying! Been looking for a 59-61 Gibson ES-330 for years: way too expensive. Pulled this one off the rack in the B-stock room at WW&BW, and it just felt RIGHT. Very comfy to play, and it sounds great. When I got home (Boston), I called and had 'em send it Re: the previous reviews: Beatles, scheatles, I play blues, and that's where this gtr. delivers.

What a great piece!

By

Comments about Epiphone Elitist 1965 Casino:

Epiphone has done an incredible job with their Elite series. Compare the Casino Elite to a standard Casino and you will be blown away. Fit and finish is highly superior. Chrome is much better quality. Sealed Grover tuners a huge improvement. Plug it in and you immediately recognize the Beatles sound. The Casino with the shorter neck set physically fits my playing style perfectly. I have several high end guitars (Rickenbacker, Gibson, Fender) and the Elite compares favorably. Overall, an excellent professional quality guitar at a great price. Highly recommended.
